Help needed to figure out how to pair ionic with AirPods

I can’t pair AirPods with The Ionic. I have unpaired the apple devices. I have charged the ionic and AirPods I have restarted the ionic. It will identify the AirPods but the spinner spins forever waiting to pair. I even updated the ionic on my devices. Could someone do a step by step instruction on how to pair. How long you hold hold the back button. It doesn’t seem to matter for me. It just spins. I have help it short. U til the red 'got flashes. And for over five minutes. This watch has been nothing but a disappointment the wallet doesn’t work the music app is pretty limited. So far not worth the purchase. Please help

I appreciate the troubleshoot you've done in order to fix this, I would like you to make sure you're following this procedure in order to connect them How do I connect Bluetooth audio devices to my Fitbit watch?. 

Regarding the issue you're having with Fitbit Pay, just make sure you've followed these steps to properly use it. Are you receiving any error message?
