Help, on my 3rd Ionic and not holding charge any more

Hello friends, seems i've had no luck with these watches. i love them so much when they work, but they just don't seem to last. all of mine have had power related issues it seems.

my fitbit battery started depleting rapidly a few days ago, and yesterday put it on the charger to 100% before bed. within a few minutes, battery went down to 94%.

i went into settings and dimmed the display brightness, disabled the motion detection to turn screen on. notifications have never been enabled, so this should be running in peak efficiency mode. contacts are clean. doing everything that is recommended but it's just not holding a charge...

woke up this morning and the battery was dead. put it back on the charger and when it came up, time was at 1:40am 'ish, so this thing died in ~ 4 hours from a full charge.

also screen was unresponsive this morning but started working again after another hard reset holding left and bottom right buttons. so frustrating and i wish our Fitbit engineers could figure this out and put out a robust and reliable product!

thanks for reading and any advice or help is appreciated

John

update: was able to charge it today and it seemed fine for a few hours, but during my workout it stopped functioning. it is on the charger now stuck at 0% on the screen. i also noticed that 2 of the 3 charger contact pins were suddenly discolored. this is the first time i've seen that.

the green light on the bottom is also flickering very erratically on the charger. sometimes very bright, then dimmer then it looks off then comes back. no pattern to it...
