Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me. I am new to fitbit and cannot get past the initial setup stage.

 

I have an ionic fitbit.

I have installed the app on the following phone : LG-x230F

I have also tried to do this via my computer but it simply directs me to use the app and i dont have a sync dongle?

 

I am able to link the watch to wifi and pair the bluetooth to the phone, however, it will not update the firmware nor move the watch past the startup screen you seen when it is fresh out the box. It is currently useless!! I need this to motivate me to run some !!

 

Any advice appreciated.

@phil2017, it does not appear that the LG K4 (2017) LGX230F is on the Fitbit Compatible Devices list, so it may not work with that device.  When you say you were able to "pair the Bluetooth on the phone", do you mean that you used the phone's Bluetooth settings to pair it?  If so, you much Forget that pairing, and use the Fitbit App Account screen -> Set Up a Device to pair it.

 

The Ionic does not ship with the Dongle, but you should contact Fitbit Support to see if they can help you acquire one.
