Almost every thread in this Ionic message board is another person complaining about how their Ionic has failed and Fitbit refuses to offer a replacement or refund. This is completely unacceptable, Fitbit needs to halt production, offer apologies to those of us that have wasted $300 on this product and give us refunds. It's obvious Fitbit does not stand by their products.
I'm sure this thread will be deleted by the forum mods much like many other posts they've been erasing, but I implore all of you to reach out to other message boards (Reddit) or even Twitter to try and get our voices heard. I will continue to reach out to as many people as I can so they know how shady this company actually is.
Is it really worth the $300 Fitbit?

Hi VittiCent, I agree 100% but not to worry they will delete your post here I'm sure or will close it off as "Off Topic". I can say with certainty there will never be another fitbit in our household and everyone that I come across when fitness trackers or even an opportunity to discuss them comes up will hear about the 100% lack of integrity this company has. I paid $400 after taxes in Nov 2017 and got almost exactly 16 months! I feel for newbies who don't do their research!
I am off to buy a Garmin actually I will post later in a couple of weeks on how it goes with that then will delete my account and never touch a fitbit anything again.

Im in the uk, and have held onto my receipt, and in case my ionic fitbit stops working, I know I can get a replacement, even if it past its 12 months guarantee
I would use the uk consumer act to get a replacement from where I bought the watch, and the rough details of the consumer act are, either to fix the item, or replace it
If the watch was to break with in a 2 year period, think the consumer act defers this, as a item not built for the purpose it meant to be used for
I could take my watch back to Argos, and they might refuse to replace it, but once you get trading standards involved, they might have no option but to replace the watch
