Just received my Ionic replacement, how can I setup to my existing account or do I have to create a new account? Thanks...

Data is stored on fitbit database by account name, so use same account to keep data.
If your old Ionic is at all working, do a sync from it first to make sure all data on it gets to fitbit database. Then:
Use same account to continue your data. Go to Account page, 'Set up a Device'.
If your previous Ionic is still connected, it will ask if this is a replacement - yes and it continues through setup, and new data should go together seamlessly with past data.
