How do I change my credit card?-Ionic

I replaced my credit card in my wallet in the app, but the old card number shows up on my Ionic. How do I get that to change to the new card?

@Irish1978 Welcome to the Community. I'll be happy to clarify your question about changing the card on your Ionic.

I would like you to confirm you did this procedure to remove your old card:

  1. Tap the Today tab

, then tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap your device image, then tap the Wallet tile.
  3. Tap the card you want to delete.
  4. Tap Remove Card.

After this, please follow these steps to add a new one:

  1. With your device nearby, tap the Today tab

, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap your device image, then tap the Wallet tile.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment card. In some cases, your bank may require additional verification. If you’re setting up Fitbit Pay for the first time, you may be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your device. Note that you also need passcode protection enabled for your phone.
  4. After you add a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your phone (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup.

You could try changing it to default or changing the order of your cards on your Fitbit device. Check this article to find more information.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

@BittyT Welcome back to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for getting in touch about this.

Fitbit Pay works with Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa 3, and editions of Fitbit Charge 3 and Fitbit Versa that contain an NFC chip. Please make sure you're following this procedure to set up Fitbit Pay. Also please let me know if you have a Fitbit Ionic.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Close, but no cigar.

My Charger 4 is still displaying the old card number.

After following your instructions, I rebooted the Charge 4 and the old number is still displaying.

I have only the new card appearing in the wallet.

I'm stumped.

@Watson3g Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned.

I'd like you to remove it from Bluetooth and set it up again to configure Fitbit Pay from scratch.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Silvia,

Thank you for your email.

I have thought my original email and have decided not to pursue a solution.

I read that a number of a credit card (bogus) is provided to the merchant
as a security precaution.

I imagine that the number displayed on the Charger 4 is also bogus, again
as a security precaution.

The bottom line is I believe I now know what is happening and the reason
for it. As such, I have no need to change anything.

Thank you for your response and attempt to assist me.

Sincerely.

Have you tried to simply remove the old one and add the new one?

Ugh, guessing here but to be honest, I despise those credit cards. I am that one stubborn old school man who thinks that cash is everything. If you take care of your money, they will never disappear, but darling, if you are not careful enough, your cash and your card can be stolen pretty easy. My credit card was frauded some days ago, to be completely fair here, and I would not be surprised at all to find my credit card among those cards actually It’s a shame that even now, we cannot take care of our credit cards and the most frightening for me is that the can fraud them without even having them physically.

Hi, thanks for the question. It's not difficult, but I don't know what bank you have. You can do this in the app in the account settings, this should help. There is an option to delete the old account. However, as far as I know, the application automatically changes. Try again to delete the application and install it again. This way, the account should be automatically replaced. If nothing helps, then contact the bank, they will solve your problem there. I use an account in a Finnish bank and when I changed the account, it automatically changed for me, but velkojen yhdistäminen (debt consolidation) has not changed since the last account. I was surprised by this, but this is normal, because this way the bank saves all transactions in your name.

Hi, when I go to the wallet (I followed the instructions to remove my old card already) to add my new card, I select 'Get Started' and it just comes up with an Error Registering Charge 4 with Fitbit Pay Wallet 403 forbidden.
