Just got the Fitbit Ionic. I'm totally lost! My old fitbit is down to having to charge every other day from the 5 day intervals it used to get when I first got it.
How often do I have to charge the Ionic?

According to fitbit:
"A fully charged Ionic has a battery life of 4+ days. Battery life and charge cycles vary with use and other factors; actual results will vary. When fully charged, Ionic can: Track up to 10 hours of activities that use GPS Play up to 12 hours of continuous music "
This is taken from the ionic manual at https://staticcs.fitbit.com/content/assets/help/manuals/manual_ionic_en_US.pdf
Hopefully this will get you up and running with your new fitbit. If not, then post here and we'll try to help.

Hi @KarenHawman Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new Ionic. I typically get 4+ days of battery life on my Ionic, depending on what I have been doing in those 4 days (meaning I didn't use GPS). I love the new interface, but I'm on the early adopter side of technology, so give yourself some time, read and post in this forum. There is a lot of helpful information and large community people also happy to help.
Good luck and have fun!

4 days is that all! I got 5 days with my old Charger HR but now after over a year I'm down to every other day charging it.
I'm having problems loading the English language I went to the little booklets with no help. Even the Safety Instructions was no help. Could you make the print any smaller! The reason I got the Ionic was because the numbers were larger (I'm 73 years old) Unfortunately, I haven't found any instructions to start up the watch other than charge it. What are the 3 buttons for? How do I get it to just do English? How do I change things on the watch face? The only thing I'm getting right now is the square of dots on point-and occasional the place to go to change language, but when I go there it's not helping. Very confusing.

There's a lot to get to grips with when you start with the ionic. I'd start by going through the manual (see earlier post) and the following setup guide:
