@Sizzlebiskits, in the Fitbit app Device Settings, select Exercise Shortcuts and add/remove the exercises to customize your settings. Then, you can prioritize them in the order most important to you. You can have up to 7 Exercise Shortcuts.

You can activate it by activating the exercise app on the ionic (ionic > exercise app > gear icon on bike, run, hike, etc, the top left corner, make sure the gps option is turned on).

Just swipe for the exercise you want to track, and then tap it to start it. You will see a message saying connecting. Once it is connected, the gps will record your route.

To expand on what @SunsetRunner said, once you tap on the Exercise mode and see the "Connecting" message, be sure to wait until it changes to "Connected" before pressing the Start icon in the lower righthand corner of the display - otherwise, it will miss recording the beginning of the exercise.

Thanks for the response.

That clears it up, I do have a question though.

In the gear icon, I don’t see an option to hike or walk. Is there a way to create this?

Thanks
John
