How long does your Ionic take to acquire a GPS signal?

Today I went for a run and my Ionic took more than 6 minutes (estimated) to acquire the GPS signal.

I find this unacceptably long. I have noticed that after the previous firmware upgrade acquiring the GPS lock took longer (150-200m of running vs. 30-50m), but haven't noticed a difference with the latest firmware update, until today.

Have others had the same problem also, and of course what could be the reason for this? And a solution?

I tend to let mine lock before starting my run...

But, if I am in the same place each run, the lock is about 30 to 45 seconds.

New places, they take about double that.

I have the same behavior of @VandyCWG.

I'm currently running always with both Polar m600 and Fitbit Ionic (for HR and GPS comparison) and the Ionic is always faster to lock the signal
