How to permanently change the Ionic's custom running stats.

I have the Ionic (firmware 27.32.10.20) sync'd to an Android phone running Android Pie (9). I am attempting to change the statistics the watch displays during a run.

The exercise app has a "Customize Stats" setting which allows me to select a custom statistic for the Top Stat, Middle Stat and Bottom Stat. Currently the Middle Stat is set to Pace (Average) and Steps. I am attempting to change this to Steps and Lap Distance. I deselect the Pace (Average) entry and select the Lap Distance entry. I press the back button to exit. When I go back into the Customize Stats setting the Pace (Average) entry has been re-selected and the Lap DIstance deselected. I've done this several times. My changes do not 'take' and the watch has always reverted to the original stats.

Anyone got any idea how to change this selection and have those changes remain in effect over time?

@summersrl Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you are currently having with the exercise settings on your Ionic.

Fitbit is aware of it, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. We'll continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other users. We understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured Fitbit is always working to improve their products.

For the moment, you will need to change your settings at the beginning of the exercise. If you do this, they should display accordingly. However, they won't save for the next one.

I appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

Keep me posted!
