I have got Zone Minute Notifications turned off on my Iconic, but when I am running these very irritating notifications appear with their funny symbol and block the whole screen of all relevant information for a very long time.
How do I stop Fitbit Zone Minute notifications appearing on my watch face while I am running ?

@Lawson77 Hi there! It's nice to see you in the Fitbit Community.
In order to turn off Heart Zone notifications for running activity, please go on your Ionic, open the Exercise app > tap Run > tap the gear icon and turn off Zone Notifications. Learn more about it by checking this article: What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?
I'll be around if you have any additional questions!

Thanks - As I said in me message - I have got the notifications turned off already.
It does not seem to help having them turned off as FitBit still thinks it needs to block out my watch face with messages like "You have achieved half teh zone minutes goal"

@Lawson77 Thank you for getting back.
I apologize for the misunderstanding, I appreciate that you confirmed these settings have been turned off. It seems that the Ionic is notifying you of the Active Zone Minutes goal, which is different than the Heart Zone notifications.
In this case, you may want to activate the Do Not Disturb mode which will avoid receiving Fitbit goal notifications.
