My son locked my ionic and it tells me on the watch to "Unlock with your phone" I can't find anywhere on the ionic app to unlock the watch. Please help.

I have the fix ...! No need to return/exchange your Ionic. I was about to click "exchange" on Amazon when I said let me give it a nother shot ...and I did. I called customer support which was extremely helpful and walked me thru factory reset and reconnect. I will not put a lock on my Ionic moving forward to avoid the dreaded "Unock with your phone". Simply follow below, I hope this helps everyone out. I could not find this solution anywhere, this needs to be posted by FitBit officially ...!
1. unpair(Bluetooth) Ionic from all devices, Computer/Phone
2. Press and hold all three/3 buttons on Ionic until the "FitBit" appears.
3. After 20 secs or so, when the "FitBit" logo disappears release bottom right-button
4. Continue to hold the left-button and top right-button until the Ionic vibrates
5. Then let go of all buttons.
6. Ionic will begin its factory reset which last 2-3 minutes, screen will be black and buttons will not work, FitBit will come up on its on to the welcome screen.
7. Contuine to pair device as normal

So i get to the stage to enter the pin, but i cant see the pin on the watch because the message unlock with your phone is on it. Any clues?

It seems you are stuck where the rest of us good stuck at...did you follow the steps I later out ...? If so, then customer support is your best bet. If not, give it another go 'round and follow instructions to the T...you should be good to go

I tried the mall it’s still says unlock with your phone. What am I doing wrong?Turned everything off there is no device lock to click on not sure what I can do.

My fitbit versa was locked . I tried to bypass it through 'device unlock' from the app . The phone would not connect . Then I removed the device from the app . Also checked if the device was removed from the web interface . Now I'm trying to add a new device , essentially the old device itself , there is no code which gets displayed on the phone rather the message " unlock with phone " . Not sure what more can be done

This did not work for me. It couldn't connect to the ionic when resetting the pin. I tried turning off the Bluetooth and turning it back on. Then I tried replacing the ionic in the app. When I am adding back the ionic, when it asks for the 4 digit PIN from the ionic, the unlock from phone message shows up instead of the pin. I even tried restarting the ionic. How can I fix this? I'm very close to throwing out the ionic and moving away from Fitbit for good.

I had the same problem. Bernard walks through the steps to factory reset the Ionic in his post above. I tried everything else, but factory resetting worked!!! It finally showed me a new pin on the Ionic screen to let me add the Ionic to my Fitbit account and do the setup from scratch. Good luck!

I did the bluetooth suggestion and it still comes up with "unlock from your phone" won't even give me a number. Ugh. Ready to give up
