I can’t improve my cardio fitness score

I’ve recently got back into exercise in the last month but my cardio fitness score has not changed. It’s still on 42 which is average for males my age. In the last month I’ve been working out 6 days a week, running, boxing and cycling. My resting heart rate has gone from 47 down to 41 and my weight has dropped  which I’ve logged. I feel so much fitter than I did a month ago but still no improvement on my cardio fitness score. Does anyone know why this is, or are having similar issues?

Have you done any GPS runs?

In the guidelines it states that running with GPS will allow a more accurate score - I think it also suggests a minimum distance.

Resting heart rate of 41 is amazing though - hell of an achievement!

Yeah I’ve done a few GPS runs but have only been running 5km. It might not be far enough so I might have to lift my game haha. I’ve injured my calf on the last run so only boxing and cycling at the moment. When my calf has fully recovered I’ll be doing a lot more GPS runs so hopefully my cardio fitness score goes up. My goal is to get my resting heart rate into the late 30’s so hopefully I’m running again soon 🏃‍:male_sign:
