Hi my Fitbit ionic is about 3 years old, has been working fine mostly, lately it was syncing properly to my app, I unpaired it etc, I turned it on and off then it stayed on the Fitbit start screen with all the dots.
it kept looping that, came on here and read about a full reset, done that with the 3 buttons let the bottom one go etc, now it’s a totally black screen, nothing happening at all?
tried charging no diff at all, the next day still nothing?
many advice at all please!

Can't believe there is no replies. With what this cost I can't believe how buggy this is. Please let me know if you get a response. I'm almost done with Fitbit.

Did you install the latest update prior to your Ionic syncing issues?

Well after contacting Fitbit support who agreed I done everything possible to fix my Fitbit, they decided to give me a 35% discount on a new one?
Which I won’t be using as I have no intention of purchasing another Fitbit.
If they find it acceptable that I pay 250 for an Iconic to last a mere 3 years and decide that’s acceptable as a company to not replace something that’s clearly faulty then no wonder this forum is rife with complaints.
I’m off to Apple to see if they are any better.

Same issue here. Mine didn't even reset after following the three button hold and releasing the bottom right button, it keeps getting stuck in the fitbit icon loop. I reached out to support and they offered the same 35% off on my next purchase. This is my 3rd Ionic, since the first time it was launched. So given the history, I feel like Ionic doesn't last long more than 2 years by average, and also given that fitbit is listing it as a legacy device, guess the support is going to be limited. I'm done with fitbit, and going for Garmin. It's a shame Fitbit, after being one of the reliable brand, the customer support could be much better. I feel like after Google acquisition, and as Samsung launched their first Wear OS smart watch, it looks to me the firmware update could be a possible cause for this issue, pushing fitbit users to go with Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. It's just my hypothetical theory 😊. LOL.

You had 3? So you certainly gave them a fair chance, I will stick to one I’m afraid, was thinking of Garmin myself it’s horrible being without my watch for the gym.

Well lads I stupidly went to purchase another Fitbit, my partner just said to avail of the 35% off, anyway went to Fitbit to purchase the Sense, but lo and behold because THEY are having a sale I can’t use my code?
absolute joke of a company to be honest never again will I give my money to Fitbit I’m fuming.

Totally, I bought a new smart watch today anyway, won’t ever use Fitbit again.
Thanks for all the replies lads.

Yes, given other options back in last 4-5 years, I felt Ionic was reliable esp when it comes to lap swim and on the beach. But, the second watch gave up after 2-3 beach swims. I still went and bought the same again, as it was better than other options I had. But, now guess it's time to move away from Fitbit if they can't put up the fight in the market.

I’ve seen a great selection over the last few days, I bought a HUAWEI one today I only got the Fit Watch as I wanted to see how it goes, and already the capabilities surpassed Fitbit even as cheap as it was, so I’m actually delighted now.
