I cannot get this Ionic to sync. Keeps trying, keeps telling my to restart Bluetooth, etc. Pain in the but and annoying as hell. Blaze never had a problem.
Best AnswerAs per the thread you also need to turn off always connected as well.
I would reboot the phone and the watch afterwards. You could also try unpairing the device in bluetooth.
Best AnswerBTW thanks for updating your signature but we really need to know Android version and what make/model your phone is.
Best AnswerIf you are able please upgrade to Android 8 for Bluetooth fixes:

Best AnswerAgreed, Android 8.x is not yet available for Moto Z phones (I have a Moto Z Play). That said, I have no issues synching with my phone. The only caveat I have to that statement is if I've recently synched my Ionic to my laptop, I've found the Bluetooth connection may still be hooked to the laptop which will in turn lock out my phone. The reverse is also true.
Best AnswerI had zero issues with my Blaze syncing with my Moto Z Force.

Disconnect and delete your Blaze. I heard somewhere that having more than one device screws things up (pretty crappy I know).
Best Answerthat was one of the first things I did.
Fitbit now telling me my phone is not an approved compatible device. despite the fact that it synced twice yesterday on the ionic and worked fine with my Blaze.
Best Answer
Best AnswerYeah - my phone isn't there and Fitbit is telling me via directmessage that my phone is not a guaranteed compatible device. yet the Ionic synced twice yesterday and my Blaze worked perfectly. Argh!

Your phone should synch with no issues. The only caveat to that statement I've run into is when you have more than one device set up to synch with your tracker. In my case I have both a laptop and a phone set up, and if one currently has the Bluetooth connection open, the other is locked out.
Best Answeri don't have multiple connections. haven't even plugged the ionic into my computer. no sync since yesterday evening despite multiple efforts, restarts, uninstalls, etc.
Best AnswerSo I just:
removed the app from my phone
removed the ionic from my phone's bluetooth list
removed the ionic from my fitbit account
then reinstalled and re-did the set up process with my phone and the ionic. and it seemed to work. the watch found the wifi, found the phone, sent the code, and set up seemingly perfectly. we'll see how long it lasts.
