I was trying to update to the new iOS 2 for my Fitbit Ionic and it got stuck and won’t clear the update screen from the Ionic. Can I restart the Fitbit?

I'm having the same issue. Have tried several times to load OS 2 and it stalled about halfway through the update process. I restarted each time without any problems and it reverted to the old OS.

I am having the same issues. Seems like the phone finishes updating and says update complete. Where my watch is stuck at about roughly 80% with the blue screen.

Same problem, installation of iOS 2 for Ionic hung during installation. Cannot clear blue screen. Watch is rendered useless.

Hit the left button and lower right button to reset your watch. The only thing I haven’t tried is connecting my Fitbit to my CPU. Gonna try that this evening.

Hit the left button and lower right button at the same time and hold for about 5 seconds.
I had to do it twice.

Seems to be a issue with the update bc mine did the same thing. Fitbit app still says update needed but update never finishes without rendering watch useless.

Contacted tech support. The final solution was to reset the Ionic to factory settings, unpair it from everything, restart phone and connect to bluetooth again, and then set up as a new device. In this manner, OS 2 installed without a problem. In essence, the same thing you did when you first received the unit as new.

Same problem. The posted reset-unpair-reinstall worked for me. Thanks!

I had the same issue on Android phone. Indicated update was complete after 3+ hours but watch was stuck about 80%.
It worked after reset, unpair from phone and pairing. Again 3+ hours to update.

OS2 install stopped at ~80% even though "Installing" was still displayed for hours 3 different times. Waiting to install OS2 seems like a better option until Fitbit "fixes" the OS2 update. Plus, many new OS2 users are not happy with the OS2 changes. Of note, holding the left button and bottom right button for ~5 seconds resets the Ionic allowing it to sync with my iPhone after the OS2 install froze.

Attempted to address this issue by installing Fitbit app on my Windows 10 Laptop. Install and connecting with Ionic worked with no issues. However, received error message to delete other devices that might try to connect. Turning off my iPhone or relocating the Fitbit out of range of iPhone did not make the error go away. Was reluctant to uninstall Fitbit app on my iPhone at this time. Waiting to install OS2 seems like a better option until Fitbit "fixes" the OS2 update. Of note, holding the left button and bottom right button for ~5 seconds resets the Ionic allowing it to sync with my iPhone after the OS2 install froze.

Installation was completed as described earlier, but even after further technical support Bluetooth connectivity is terrible, failing to sync 80-90% of time under ideal circumstances. Sending it back.

Same problem (previous updates worked fine) How do I do the factory reset?
