Why can't the Iconic connect to a 5G WIFI network?   Thanks for your input. John

Here is the statement from Page 10 of the User Manual. 

 

"Your watch won’t connect to 5GHz, WPA enterprise, or public Wi-Fi networks that require logins, subscriptions, or profiles."

 

Looks like it's not supported at this time.  The latest Firmware update (27.31.1.16) also did not provide 5Ghz network support.  Maybe in a future firmware update?

that's electronic.

if the chip doesn't support 5ghz, it will never happen.

i'm sure at 99.99% it will never happen

I have a 5ghz router also and find it very disheartening that a new watch can only use old technology.  How else can I transfer music to my ionic?
