I am sooo disappointed in this product and the service received for how much I paid for this product.
Last weekend for the first time I have ever gone swimming with the Ionic. After I was done my laps my fitbit died on me. It initially kept rebooting itself but now it is completely dead. I asked for help to try and get it rebooted and followed fitbit's help chat's instructions but still nothing!!
Since I was past my warranty the only thing they could give me was 25% off another fitbit. I am so angry as I took good care on my watch and it malfunctioned doing what it was supposedly designed for! You think for the price that we pay for this watch we would get some better customer service!
Anyone else have a similar experience? I would be wary swimming with the ionic if you haven't tested it and are after your warranty period.

I had the exact same issue with fitbit charge 2 , and customer service was not really helpful!
Now, I have Ionic but have not tried it in swimming activity yet!

I had the same thing happen with my Iconic. I wasn't swimming but playing in the pool with my grandchildren. I saw the battery was low that evening and put it on the charging cable before bed. when I got up in the morning and went to put it on I saw it was dead. my first thought was the cable didn't sit correctly and it just died but when I returned it to the charging cable I noticed it didn't indicate it was charging. I ended up letting it sit out for about a week cleaned all the contact points and tried charging again. it's now working but the battery dies after 4 to 5 hours so it's worthless. I would put it in a container with rice lie you would for a wet Cell phone and try it again and see if you have any luck but I'm going the customer service route right now and it the won't do anything I'm done with Fitbit. This is my 2nd watch and it's way too costly to have these devices. Good Luck!

I would try it before the warranty is up!

I agree - I am done with fitbit as well. This is also my second watch from them and both dies right after my warranty was up!!
