Iconic not Sync data problem resetting.

 Hi,

My fitbit ICONIC was not syncing with my phone, i played about with it and nothing.

I came across reset factory settings, so i pressed this for some reason and now nothing works.

What shows on the screen (Data not cleared sync & try again)

I have tried syncing manually as my location currently we have no WIFI, could this be the reason why not syncing ?

After 2-4 hrs of syncing with only 10% complete, the devise stops and nothing happens, back to same wording on the screen.

The watch i have switched off, but each time same wording has appeared on the screen.

Can anyone please advise.

Thank You.

Garry Davison.

Not having wifi should not affect the syncing from the Ionics side of things, though the phone needs internet access in order to sync.i gagher you Ionic is 'stuck' not having done the factory reset completely. Id suggest doing another Factory Reset to see if you can clear the data (see below for button method) Let us kmow what happens.

What phone are you using?

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

Hi thank you for advice
I have an iconic phone with 2 buttons on right T@B and 1 in centre only.

I shall try your advice, I have a lava phone which is same settings as Samsung, other device I also use watch on is the I-phone 6.

Both phones worked until yesterday and that's why I tried factory settings.

Shall try your advise, and revert back shortly.

Thank you.

Hi @GazDavo @NellyG, it's great to see you in the Fitbit Community.

@GazDavo If you still need of assistance, I would recommend checking out our guides to resolve either syncing or set up issues. If your phone is not part of the list of compatible devices, it should still be able to sync but we cannot guarantee that everything will work as intended.

@NellyG Thanks for your help.
