My Iconic has been syncing fine with my iPhone for a week. Last night at 2am, it stopped syncing. After trying to reconnect to Bluetooth, restarting phone etc, I removed the iconic from the app as suggested by an Admin on this site, only to be met with the frustrating reality that despite the app saying it had “found it”, it won’t actually connect and is now stuck on that screen in the set up. What do I do now? App is up to date.

I've had similar issues and am debating whether to return it now. I had exactly the same issue as you and after numerous attempts it just connected. However, notifications are now not working and I can't get it to sync, plus it decided to shut down earlier today despite having 35% charge. Not impressed so far with the connectivity technology, although the watch I do like.

So I seem to have at least temporarily fixed this by holding both the left button on the way ch and the bottom right button and resetting the watch whilst adding the Iconic back into the app. Lucy, hope this helps you - totally agree that the tech is frustrating but love the watch!

I've been experiencing this issue ever since I received my Ionic. The lack of visibility of the Ionic-phone bluetooth connection status complicates troubleshooting and is causing the process of setting up wifi to be incredibly frustrating. It seems it can't maintain the bluetooth connection long enough to complete the wifi config process. I'm not sure if that is the problem as all I can see is the loading icon spinning and spinning. If I wait long enough (takes a lot of patience) then after a while it says "unable to connect to device". So I followed the admin's suggestion to remove the Ionic from the app and try pairing it again. With lots more patience I got that to pair, finally synced again, but now I have to setup wifi again and that process keeps failing now (likely because I'm in a cafe and the 2.4 ghz wifi has too much interference). But again, it's hard to tell what the issue is as there is no visibility into the bluetooth connection status so I can't see where it is failing.
"Always Connected" is turned on.

Sorry FLR, I didn’t spot this reply to my post until now, when the next post was made.
I’m sorry to say that I gave up on the Ionic in the end and returned it, got a full refund and bought an Apple Watch Series 3! I never thought I’d get an Apple Watch but I must say, I absolutely love it. It worked perfectly from the first time I turned it on and I’ve found an app called Record (by Under Armour) that takes the steps on the watch and allows me to use it as an optional display on the various watch faces available as a ‘complication’. Mail, texts and many other apps, like To Do (which I used every day), all sync beautifully and I just can’t fault it. Sorry, Fitbit, but the Ionic has a long, long way to go to match the Apple Watch.
