Hello,

Needed to wipe my Ionic and do a reset on my phone to fix a connectivity issue. I'm back online but receive this error when attempting to set a passcode on the tracker or set up wallet.

I've removed and set up the tracker again. I've rebooted both devices. I've removed and reinstalled the Wallet app on the tracker.

No luck. Help?

@SunsetRunner I hope you're doing well! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing while setting a passcode or wallet. Also, thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out.

What kind/model of mobile device are you using?

Could you please share a screen shot showing the error message? That way I can take a closer look at it.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Hi Santi,

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S8+. I believe I'm running the most up-to-date software. Here's a screenshot of the error as you requested.2018-04-20 16.31.46.jpg

Thank you for your assistance 🙂

@SunsetRunner Thanks for your reply and for sharing the screen shot!

This is indeed very strange. Now that we have the screen shot we will investigate this further. I will let you know any findings regarding this. I'll keep you posted.

What card are you trying to add?

Also, did you had this set up already before you did the factory reset?

Thanks again for sharing the screen shot.

Keep me posted with any updates too!

This same issue just happened to my Fitbit Ionic. I had done a factory reset of the phone a couple days ago and had a wallet with a credit card registered on it before I reset it.

Now I can't get my wallet to work at all.

Any progress?

I also tried it and the same error was still there.

So I restarted my Fitbit ionic with a hard reset. Since my Fitbit ionic
came from the factory with the 1.0 software, I had to update mine to the
2.0 OS and that took a long time.

After that update, I chose to not activated the wallet during the tips
walkthrough. Then when I wanted to setup wallet again the error came up.

Not sure if that helps but just wanted to add that to the convo

This worked for me.

Disable device pin.

Delete the tracker from app.

Delete the device from bluetooth.

Factory reset the device and setup again.

This time all the credit cards and Fitbit pay are all reset without any isuue.

There's no PIN to disable on either the watch or the phone. That's what I'm
saying.

I have the same problem - no pin and am unable to resolve through various resets and deletion of the app.

Quite happy to return my Ionic for a refund so Fitbit has something to work with.

This post has gone on way too long without a resolution.

If it can't be fixed then either replace the device or give people their money back.
