Ionic '18 model almost never auto detects bike riding as activity.

I commute to work and all throughout every workday, on a city bike. so nite a mountain, race or other sports bike, I don't go fast. But it is aggravating that this so-called advanced tracking device never tracks it but once or twice (yes I have my settings correct.).  It's demotivating and a probable reason to sell it again. #dissapointed

Welcome to the forums!

 

I find that Smart track is very iffy as you have said so I make sure to always use an Exercise mode to make sure I capture it.

 

Also Biking is not step based so that doesn't help either
