Ionic Adiddas suddenly wont connect to Iphone 8plus (been working since May last year)

My fitbit ionic wont sync with my phone anymore... it initially just randomly only getting half way through syncing then stopping so I tried every step listed in other messages on here and then removed it from the device hoping to be able to resync it as it states in other messages. It now wont connect to my phone at all, it gets to the stage where you put the 4 digit number in and it says connecting to fitbit then after about 5 minutes of trying it fails. I've restarted it, let it run out of battery and fully recharged it yet still it doesn't work.

Doing my absolute head in, can anyone help?

The problem is that the phone will not comunicate with the ionic. 

Removing the ionic from your account is the best way to add problem's. 

We need to fix the issue of no sync before we can setup the tracker. 

Have you removed the ionic from the phones Bluetooth list.. This must be done and the first thing to try with any sync issue

Updated the Fitbit app? 

Restarted both the phone and the ionic?

Hi Rich,

I've literally tired everything recommended, restarted both, removed ionic from phone Bluetooth list as well as Fitbit account etc.

Still no joy with syncing it to the phone it gets as far as putting in the 4 digit code it generates then says connecting to fitbit and stops after so long with a failure notification
