Ionic Alarm not always going off as scheduled?

I have only had the Ionic for a couple of weeks, I have had several other fitbits and the last was the Blaze,  when I set the Alarm for a set time on the Ionic for say Mon - Friday at 5am, I find its not always going off as it should.  I have removed the weekly alarm and reset it a couple of times to try to fix the issue and have done a reset as well, but the problem is not going away.

Is anyone else having an issue with this?

I started having this problem too - for me, it started after I enabled the device lock.  If the Ionic was locked, the alarm wouldn't go off.  As soon as I disabled the device lock, my alarms started working reliably again.

Yes, I experience the same issue. I usually set it Monday-Friday 06:15 but have also tried the every day setting without luck.  Resetting does not appear to make a difference - and the alarm stays silent 95% of the time. This worked consistently on my Charge 2.

I am a poor sleeper so I am usually awake by that time but would like to make it work so I don't have to worry about falling asleep again. Please help!

Yesterday I was told by support to do a factory reset, the alarm did work
this morning.

I did a factory reset yesterday and everything worked as expected this
morning. If it stops working in the future I will edit my post.

Unfortunately the Alarm has stopped working again, I opened up my service ticket this morning to see if a permanent solution has been found yet, but have not received any response yet.

Mine has actually been working since I did the factory reset - but I suspect it's only a matter of time before I have to reboot or factory reset again. Definitely Fitbit should focus on improving the stability of their software.

I was just asked to follow the instructions as laid out below..

In this case, we'd like you to do the following steps in order to place a
report of the app Alarms because is not working.

1. Open the Fitbit app in your phone.
2. Tap the account icon located in the top right corner (little ID card).
3. Tap on "Ionic".
4. Tap on "Apps".
5. Look and tap the app "Alarms".
6. At the bottom of the screen there is a phrase in color teal that says
"please report it". Please tap that option.
7. Follow the onscreen prompts to report the app. Please make sure to
select "Buggy / Doesn't work" in the first prompt.

Yes, same experience. I have a weekly schedule (weekdays) at 05.55, but today I woke up at 6.30 and was suddenly late for work - no alarm. This has happened at least two times before, but I see no apparent pattern. The one thing that I did this weekend was to adjust the settings, adding Saturday wake up in this schedule and then removing it again Sunday evening before bed.

I'm also having this problem.  I was on this page about 2 weeks ago. Did the reset and now back to square 1.  No alarms once again.  I have done the "report it" step. Let's see if we get a new update soon

Hi,

I reported the same problem on this very thread a couple of months ago and I am happy to say that I solved it and have not had a single failure since. Here is what I did:

1. Remove the Ionic from the account (Don't worry, your data will not be lost)

2. Close the app (not sure if this is necessary but I did it)
2. Delete the bluetooth pairing on the phone
3. Factory reset the Fitbit (Go to Settings, About, .Factory Reset on the Fitbit)
4. Set up the connection between the phone and Ionic again.

Factory resetting alone was not enough - and in my experience the unpairing-process was needed.

Hope this helps.

I have followed your steps. Let's see how it goes, I'm optimistic. Willing to give this a try.

I will report back in2 more weeks, which is how long it took for the problem to arise last time.

I've tweeted Fitbit support, let's see if they answer, it wasn't a cheap device at £300

But if u want to have the payment card enabled, you have to use device lock.  Sometimes it locks when I am asleep, even though it's unlocked before I go to sleep....

Hi darren, I have credit card with pass code protection when I activate the card and my alarm now goes off every morning without problems. I don't have to type in the code every time I open settings anymore though. Is that the setting you have?

Hi again, I now have device lock enabled (and not just device lock for Fitbit Pay only). Let's see how that goes:-)

I can confirm NateB2's findings regarding device lock. Remove that and your alarms will be working again. Nothing to do with reset procedure, etc. Device lock is the root cause.

Did that and got alot of side effects. WiFi was janky for file transfers.
No Wallet, just a pain we have lost functionality. I think I did about 3
device resets when on "no device lock" then put it all back on to get
access to other things. Also the install over WiFi was about an hour a time.

It feels almost like a house of cards, push it too much and it all falls down
