Ionic Black Screen and Will Not Start Up

It seems to be a lot of people with the same problem as of recent. My Ionic quit receiving notifications and then at midnight it would erase the previous day stats from my phone app (It said it was syncing) and I started to look back at the app and the last saved date was 02/05. I also seen there was an automatic update on 02/04. Customer Service says that is not the problem, But my watch was working fine up to that point. I decided to uninstall everything from the phone and factory reset the Ionic and everything was going fine and halfway through the install the watch shut off and that is when my Ionic died. Have not been able to reset/start it since then. Called Customer Service and the person could see I tried everything they would suggest to fix it. So the only option was to offer me 40% off with FREE expedited shipping. I decided to think about it and I went to Best Buy and low and behold They have sold a ton of Galaxy Watches to People like me (YES, I am wearing one right now) due to this recent problem. I have up to 30 days to return it if I dont like it. But so far that does not be the case. Fitbit has not convinced me that this is not a software update issue that caused this. The coincidence of so many other people having the same problem in the same time range......Well enough said. My Galaxy Watch tells me to go for a walk.

Here I was thinking im just a careless guy. Ive had this Ionic Black Out problem since Feb. It mostly only happens when I go out for a run, I thought it was something to do with the vibrating alert, but clearly the OS upgrade seems to have messed it up.

Is there any long term solution other than Press Home And Right Button for 10 seconds?

Fitbit has reduced their 40% discount offer to 20% for the bricked Ionic. I was a loyal customer, but they have not done ANYTHING to retain my loyalty, but rather blew me off due to "policies." They have not acted honorably, nor showed any regard for all of us who have experienced this loss of money and function. Why would anyone spend any more money on their products?

I am another customer with the Ionic dead watch. The offer for a discount is now 20% off of another product. Completely out of the question. The support chat that I had (quoting the policies) was translated this way: "We at Fitbit don't care about you. We are sorry, but buy another product from us." I saved the transcript of my chat. This product needs to be replaced with one that won't die. The amount that I spent originally was plenty. I now have a useless product. There is only one way that I will retract my reviews since this happened: replace my watch. If this policy is how you deal with legitimate complaints like this, then I can never recommend Fitbit to anyone. I will warn people, however. I'm not trying to be mean, but have never seen a company show so little concern for customer loyalty. I am willing to turn my comments around, if someone will do what is honorable. As far as spending any more of my money, there is no way. Thank you for any response, and for trying to redeem the honor of the company. Sincerely, Barb

Trust me i tried everything like the OCD person that i am. I let it sit
for a month to assure it had a dead battery then tried to chage again to
see if it would miraculously come back to life, but it did not.

Hi, I have just joined the dying Ionic community after 16 months of ownership.

I started having issues at 11-12 months.

Fitbit are sending me a replacement tracker free of charge.
