I setup my Ionic using my desktop which is hardwired to the network. It connected to my router via wi-fi, and setup completed. When I run the Windows 10 Fitbit App, click on the Account icon and the Iconic tab, there is no "Wi-Fi Settings" displayed anywhere. Also, no "Add Network". I installed the Fitbit app on my laptop which is connected via wi-fi. Still no appearance of "Wi-Fi Settings" nor "Add Network". Without these, there is no way to connect the Ionic to the same wi-fi as my laptop, therefore there is no way to transfer any music files to the Ionic. Any ideas on how to remedy this situation?

Using the Windows 10 Fitbit app on my desktop or my laptop (wi-fi), neither one shows the "Wi-Fi Settings" for the Ionic. The Android app on my phone does show this setting. But, to transfer music files to the Ionic, I need to access the files on the desktop or the laptop. How can this be done with just the Android phone having the "Wi-Fi Settings"?

In the Win10 app, go to the music management page (the tab with the note symbol) and you should see the Wi-Fi settings in the left pane.

I am having the same problem. Trying to transfer music to the Ionic via a Window 10 HP laptop and the Fitbit App does not recognize the WiFi for my home. The app on my Android phone will (inconsistently) identify the WiFi source but the laptop does not. It will connect through Blutooth and synch alright but any attempts to set up WiFi through the music function or account WiFi set up just shows a blank dialog box that isn't populated with my WiFi network information. Frustrating.

Thank you for your reply. However, that is not what I see. When I click the Account tab, then the Ionic tab, I get a list on the right of the screen which includes "Wi-Fi Setup". If I click on this I get a pop up window that states that bluetooth is turned off.
Turn on bluetooth so the app recognizes your Ionic.
Close that window and there is a window which says choose network from following list, which never gets populated. If, instead I tap on the music icon, it takes me to a screen which allows selection of "Personal Music" or "Manage Your Wi-Fi Network". Choosing the Manage Network tab, I get the same results with
bluetooth turned off and an unpopulated network list.
Have you already set-up a Wi-Fi network to your account? You need to do this manually the first time in order for the app to tie the network to your account.
I never see the phrase "Wi-Fi Settings".
My account is in Japanese so I can't tell you the exact wording, but "Manage Your Wi-Fi Network" should be fine. You'll see a button there allowing you to add a network manually.

Hello, Bluetooth on my Windows 10 laptop recognized the Ionic and will synch with the watch no problem. The app however will not recognize my Verizon WiFi WPA-2, 2.4 GHz router on the laptop.
I was able to set up the watch using my Android Motorola phone and load firmware updates using the
same WiFi through the phone, the Fitbit App does recognize the WiFi signal on the phone. I am starting to think there's something with Windows 10 or my Norton anti-virus software that's blocking the Fitbit App from seeing the WiFi signal.
On the app dashboard if I try to perform the WiFi setup or attempt to load music to the Ionic the app cannot find the WiFi signal.

Does the Wi-Fi network you added when you did the setup on your phone show up in the Win10 app? If so, press the network to turn it on so Ionic can connect to it. If you're saying nothing appears even after manually adding a network, then that's a problem.

Everything was how I expected and straight forward and now it's working
I've still got things to suss out on ionic but it's got a lot of features to take in.
Today I got the notifications setup on my mobile app an hey presto it's working on ionic
Oh it took about a hour but you see progress on ionic moving across screen while update takes place.
Good luck hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the reply bi-Ionic. No, the WiFi does not show up on the Windows 10 laptop at all. I've checked my Norton antivirus and made sure the Fitbit App had permission to access WiFi. I don't see any way to manually add the WiFi to the App. If you know how to to that I would be in your debt.

Make sure your Ionic is not connected any other device via Bluetooth other than the laptop you want to connect to. Sync with the app (just in case) and then go to the media tab to see Wi-Fi settings. If you've already added a network to your account, for example through the mobile app, normally it should already appear on this page. You should also see a big pink button that says "Add", to manually add networks. If you aren't seeing this then there's something wrong with the app. I would probably delete it and start from fresh.

Same here and I just got a whole new internet, I went from Frontier to Suddenlink. The wifi never populates with networks to choose from with either internet system. I have the choice of 2.4 and 5G. I know the 5G will not work but the 2.4 should. Also I live in an area where there are multiple networks nearby. How is it that nothing ever populates the network search. Also, you are supposed to be able to add multiple networks (home, work, etc) but I can't even add one!

This crap is ridiculous, $300 for something that doesn't work. I have the same problem as hundreds do, I cant get the dashboard app to see the wifi and yes the ipone 8, Ionic, and HPwin 10 is on my 2.4 wifi but the fitbit dashboard doesn't see the Ionic when trying to transfer media. probably because it cant find a single wifi signal.
Desktop has Bluetooth but I think Its slightly older BT and its turned on but that shouldn't matter while transferring media because that's suppose to be done over the wifi,,,, but that doesn't work. I went ahead and ordered a toggle just incase. Ive tried dozens of things from deleting accounts, to uninstalling fitbit app dashboard, to delete the Ionic off the iPhone and reinstalling it back. Please if anyone can fix this let me know. Thanks for the rant

Was this issue ever resolved? I ask because I bought my wife a Fitbit Versa for her birthday and I cannot get the app to work on my Windows 10 computer. I get the "bluetooth not turned on message" (I don't have bluetooth capability on this computer) my app doesn't recognize the network I connected the phone to using her phone. If I can't get the app to work on my computer, I have no way of transferring music to her brand new watch. Very frustrating!!!

I gave up on the music feature on my Ionic very quickly. My new Windows 10 laptop and home WiFi never seemed to communicate with the Fitbit app downloaded on the laptop. The process is just too convoluted and not worth the time. Bought an inexpensive Bluetooth MP3 player instead, music transfer is a breeze. Like the Ionic otherwise, good luck.

Sorry, if you read through some of the threads on this topic you will find some people who have been able to make it work for them. But frankly the steps if had to take or too complicated for me to bother with. It really should be easier than this, and like you I was hoping to take advantage of this feature. Perhaps in a future product it will be. Hope you enjoyed the watch otherwise.
