So I'm frustrated, just to let everyone know who reads the below.
I originally purchased my Ionic in January if this year and it's been working great up to the last week when the battery began draining within 6 hours from a full charge and the device gets stuck in a reset loop with just the Fitbit logo displayed.
My frustration begins when I attempted to request warranty service as Fitbit has refused to honor their one year warranty because I purchased the watch through Ebay despite A: admitting that the device is faulty and B: looking up the serial number to verify the device is legitimate and not a counterfeit.
I'm posting this because I think this is obviously a ridiculous policy, especially since Fitbit has the ability verify when the device was manufactured via its serial number and when it was first activated. At this point I'm very disappointed in the customer service policies. The customer service reps were professional so I have no complaints about their actual service, but this policy is beyond frustrating especially with the amount of information available to the company about my watch.

Hi @CattyCakes
You can read the Returns & Warranty information here - click - which might explain more on the policy. There is a list of authorized retailers, too - click
With eBay, you have no idea what you're really getting, although, at times, you can score a great deal. Sometimes it works out, but often, as in your case, it doesn't. Sorry you're having problems with this. I have family members with the Ionic who are happy.

US Based, I think FitBit is within their legal rights. It's just frustrating that a Tech company who can verify where the watch has been based on its serial number refuses to help because it went through one to many hands. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with getting warranty help like this and that's why I'm incredibly frustrated.
On another note, it's also disappointing to see the number of other Ionic users having the same battery issues I'm having. As if some software update is affecting the watch and no comment from FitBit on what's going on. Just 'troubleshoots' on watches whose batteries are completely dead. Plus no repair centers and others are having warranty issues as well.
Definitely thinking about finding a new fitness tracking company if this is how they treat their customers.
