Ionic Device Lock Disabled but I keep having to unlock it

I have the Device Lock set to "Disabled" in the app but I keep having to enter the PIN to unlock the phone during normal daily use.  Not trying to use Samsung Pay, just trying to check my activity.  Am I doing something wrong, or misunderstanding how it works?

Hi @TJMB.

 

Have you tried enabling the device lock, syncing your watch and disabling it again and then another sync. See if that gets the setting to stick. 

 

Also it wouldn't do any harm just giving your Ionic a restart by following the steps here.
