Ionic Didn't Track Sleep Stages For a Month

I purchased my Ionic after radiofrequency ablation surgery in Feb 2018. It works (heart rate and sleeping track) well till about one month ago, I can not see the sleeping stage in my app.

I've checked everything on "Why don't I see sleep stages today?", and I'm pretty sure the heart rate is working well and the battery is alright.

Besides, I caught a cold about 2 months ago, and it caused me a bad cough. the cough eventually caused my heart rate increased about 10 bpm (from 63 to 74). The sleep stage analysis works well in the first month, but it stops show me the sleeping stage data since 15th Nov. And now I do not cough much, and heart rate induced around 65 bpm, but the sleep stage still doesn't work.

Also, I've exchanged the device with my girlfriends's Charge 3, my Ionic works well to her, but her Charge 3 can't detect my sleep stage. I've checked my SpO2 value and it's OK as well.

So I think the reason why there is no sleep stage data is not because of the device, it might because of something wrong with myself. So I'm really worried about that after I did a lot health check in the hospital and find out nothing.

Again, the heart rate monitoring is good, but the sleep stage is not working. Please let me know if you have any advise for me.

Thanks

@B.Lan Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you have had with Ionic and sleep stages so far. Thanks for using both devices with your girlfriend in order to compare the results and get more specific details about this and for checking the article about sleep stages too.

Perhaps there is nothing wrong with you. Can you tell if the heart rate is also tracking when you are sleeping?

It could be that the wrist placement of your watch is not letting the readings to track and therefore no sleep stages will show. Please try using different wrist placements when sleeping. For example, you could try wearing it a bit tighter or maybe a bit looser and check if the stages show. You can also try wearing it a bit higher up your wrist and see the results.

I wish you well on your recovery. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

@SantiR Thanks for reply.

Yes the heart rate is tracking when I'm sleeping.

Eventually I got my last night sleeping stage curve, I'm not sure if it has any connection with my recovery.

I'm just curious about why the devices cannot get the sleeping stage while there was something wrong with my body. I will check if there will be the sleeping stage tonight.

Please check if you keep getting sleep stages these nights. If I find any details about this I will let you know.
