Several times after starting my exercise app on my fit ionic it seems to stop and go back to the home clock screen . and I have to start the tracking over. any solutions to this problem?

Yep is a very common problem posted on this Forum. So would def call Tech Support right away. Do all their troubleshooting protocols. If still not working properly they normally will offer you a replacement device.
My first Ionic did that and was deemed “defective” and was immediately replaced. Many have followed my advice and since received replacements. Number is linked below. Let me know you make out. Number is noted below for you.
