Fitbit Update: Fitbit OS2.1 has been released to 100% of users!
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 27.32.10.15)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT’S NEW
Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?
This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I had the same thing happen. Immediately after posting a question I got an alert that something in my post indicated it was spam and the post was deleted. Immediately after I pressed post. How was it reviewed and determined to be spam within less than 6 seconds? It was very strange but I guess not unexpected at this point
@ToddBrennan wrote:So I posted about three issues: blue tooth watch face connectivity, Fitbit Weather not allowing me to pick a city, and whether or not the Fitbit software may someday be allowed to run on a non-fitbit watch device. It was reasonably worded and addressed real issues. My question appears to have been erased as spam? WHY?!? It is NOT spam! Why can't I even ask questions about issues with the devices?!? Please tell me this is just another mistake... 😞
I've saved my questions this time in case I have to repost again...

Any idea when the try & error steps are at the end, means: when are all bugs fixed?
In one or two month?
- problem with sleep stages
- not accurate heart rate showing
- steps while I rest
- an other problems mentioned from other unhappy customer.
Then I can stop wasting time and wait.
Thank you for your understanding!
Regards
Mark

Since the new update i cannot see any text messages or phone calls on my Ionic . I have unpaired, un-installed , re-installed , the app and Ionic but to it still does not work.... Prior to this last up date my Ionic was fine. This is making me want a apple watch.

I updated my ionic on Saturday and like a lot of other people I am no longer getting text messages. They were sporadic before the update, just as being able to sync with my phone was also sporadic. 2 updates ago everything was working great, now I am extrememly dissappointed. I have an LG G6 with Android 7.0 and I have upgraded to the Ionic version 32.10.15 and I have the fitbit app version 2.71. I also have Verizon and use the msg + app.

Same with me ... I thought it was because i had not done the update.

After trying quite a few troubleshooting ideas found here and on Youtube, I have found that disabling the battery optimization on my OnePlus 5T has allowed for more smooth sync and notification functionality with my Ionic. OnePlus 5T runs a version of Android that is based on the Oreo 8.1.0. Under Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > Fitbit App....select the Don't Optimize radio button. The watch and phone have been communicating fine for the last 6 hours or so. I will see what turning off the "Battery optimization" does to my phone battery after a few days of keeping this setting. Never the less....this seems to have fixed all the sync and notification issues i was experiencing previously. I am going to go add back all my other Bluetooth devices to see if they can remain in the Bluetooth list as previous devices I have used. Removing them was one of the troubleshooting suggestions i had tried earlier to no avail.

So the latest update has rendered my watch useless! It no longer syncs.
I factory reset the watch and setup as new, it works for a few hours but then it no longer syncs! Never had any issues with syncing until this update.
I've had enough of this, I'm taking it back to Argos tomorrow and replacing it for a Garmin.

I am with you, I think I am going to try and return mine for a Garmin as well. I am extremely dissappointed with the amount of money I spent on this and the fact that it rarely works.

I am so with you, I got a notification to update but i am very hesitant to update it. I have Iphone X with the Iconic watch and not welling to risk any update as per the last one was a total disaster. Have you tried the new update yet?

The very annoying "re-calibration" message STILL has not gone away for me with this release.
I have proceeded with recalibration on a daily basis since the firmware update. Everytime it would give me a check mark as if the recalibration is successful (unlike before where it would outright fail), but the problem is that the re-calibration request would come back everyday. Sometimes more than once per day.
What is going on?
