Hi all!
I am super excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 1.2! (Firmware Version: 27.31.1.29)
We've begun to roll out this new firmware to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. This firmware update includes:
Feature update:

Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I would also recommend updating your Ionic over Wi-Fi as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

You did, but only the original poster can mark an accepted solution, and the original poster to this thread was a Moderator.

If you keep experiencing the same please uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app and perform a restart on your Ionic.

Hi,
I was wondering why the update is roled out in parts? Is there not enough server capacity?

Agreed. Trying to figure out why such a staggered roll out. Doesn't make sense.
I purchased my Ionic on launch day, and I'm in Canada; I have yet to receive the update.

My Ionic has just completed the firmware update, it took 33 minutes from start to finish, no hiccups this time.

Still got the problem with the volume of My Bluetooth headphones after the update. I can’t adjust the volume so they are way too loud. I tried all the troubleshooting steps
using the Rolfstone Nova headphones

Since the update my ionic will not receive notifications be it calls, sms, email or even fitbit notifications.
I've reset it multiple times, reinstalled the app, confirmed the settings etc. It won't even receive the test notification from the app.
Any suggestions on what I do now?

Have you swiped right on your clock face and ensured that notifications are switched to 'Receive from phone'?

I just updated mine and it took less than 5 mins. That being said, I dont have any music on my watch (bloody thing doesnt’t work) and I also don’t have anything in the wallet (not available in Norway). I don’t know if that affects the download time, but thought I’d mention it just in case

Received the update notification in the app today. Update took about five minutes. The music transfer is working fine post-update so I'm not anticipating any major issues. Will do a test run tomorrow to see how the new GPS measurement calculation works. When I export runs into Strava or MMR, the distances frequently didn't match what Fitbit was saying so it will be interesting to see what's changed.

Hi all.
Just wanted to confirm that Fitbit OS 1.2 has now been rolled out to 100% of Ionic users.
If you have not yet updated your Ionic, please feel free to do so. You can check out this post for information on what is included in the release, as well as some best practices for updating your device.
As mentioned, I highly recommend updating your Ionic over a personal Wi-Fi network, rather than a public network or via Bluetooth connection.
@cosmo234 If you are having a hard time updating your firmware, I have posted some troubleshooting tips here, which you may find helpful.
@Tmartusc @Wesvv I would recommend giving your Ionic a restart to help refresh its system. If that doesn't work, please feel free to let me know.
@David-G If you are not receiving notifications after updating your firmware, I recommend following each of the troubleshooting steps detailed, here. If you get stuck at any point, feel free to let me know where.
@Davem10 @Ozzie65 @SantiR Thanks for the assistance!

Since the firmware update I've not been able to sync my ionic at all!
My phone is a samsung j3, although not supported it would sync most of the time and my pc connection (using my old surge dongle) was perfect.
Since the firmware update neither work and I keep getting 'tracker not found' error message as well as 'bluetooth not turned on' despite it being turned on
