UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.

Hi all!

I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)

We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

What’s New

Fitbit Today:

Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.

Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.

Music:

You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article

What’s Changed

Fitbit Watch Interface:

We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:

  • To see your notifications, swipe down from the clock face or press and hold the top button.
  • To see your stats and current battery level, swipe up from the clock face.
  • To access music controls, payments, and the shortcuts screen, press and hold the back button.
  • Access your music controls all on one screen.
  • We’ve changed the order of some of the apps on your watch.

To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.

Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.

I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article

Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I'm on the count down timer screen. and in like 30 seconds if it's not used it goes auto back to home screen. this is a complete joke, I'll go back when I'm done using it or an option to turn it off and on, or auto in 3-5 mins, not 30 bloody seconds.

also look how we have to see the battery now, swipe up, it takes AGES to load then you see it. wtf...
when before we just swipe right once and see it instant.

also going onto count down timer it boots ANOTHER count down timer logo to either delay or show loading screen while it loads, well why is it loading? it wasn't loading before and even if fitbit have a reason for it to be there to load instead of a blank screen COMON ITS 2018 THE ONLY LOADING SCREEN I WANT TO SEE IS WHEN I TURN ON FROM SHUT DOWN JUST LIKE AE PC YOU TURDS. I want my money back as this is a joke

Hi there, not sure if you are aware but when you swipe to your app list the 2 apps on the left side are the ones that are attached to the shortcuts on the 2 buttons on the right side of the Ionic. If you press and hold on an app icon you will feel a little buzz from the Ionic and you will now be able to reposition your app, drag it to the left side of the screen and the screen will shift to the next page. When you find the place you want it to be let go of it. When you are on the watch screen when you press the side buttons you should get taken to the app you placed there. I made a quick video to show in better detail what I said, I apologise for the hairy arm and the bitten nails 😁

I didn't know about this and I bet nobody else does. This is a great find! I too wanted exercise to be triggered on the bottom right button and this does just that!

Reading the community posts pays off as usual. Thanks!

This doesn't work for me after the update to 2.0. Worked fine before. Is it working on 2.0 for you?

Doesn't work for me either on 2.0.  Top button is Notifications and Bottom button doesn't do anything.

I just ended a chat with customer support and had the greatest experience not only because the agent was very attentive and helpful, but because after a few minutes they help me to successfully solve my Deezer pairing issue as well as my network connectivity error. It turned out my iPhone Fitbit App was not up to date, and that was why it didn't connect or paired the Ionic with the Deezer account. It takes several minutes to finish the music download to your watch, but if you are patient, your problem should be solved.

Long pressing the top right button will still show notifications. Just a quick press should activate the shortcut.

Thanks, my old fat fingers aren't quick enough.  Also, I've currently got a clear cover on the ionic that, somewhat, interferes with the button making it more difficult to press them.

Yes, an actual quick press does the trick.

As stated by another already -- Nice Find!.
