UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
What’s New
Fitbit Today:
Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.
Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.
Music:
You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article.
What’s Changed
Fitbit Watch Interface:
We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:
To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.
Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Updated yesterday. Installed Deezer. Noticed Deezer will remove access to your stuff if you don't pay. Decided I do not want my tracker and music solution hostage. Uninstalled.
Fired up desktop app. Added my own music (Jesus the speed, the speed is amazing. Also, it so slow it times out I had to split my workout playlist in 2 playlists).
Charged it. Went to bed. Woke up. Watch died during the day. Charging again. I hope it works.
I wish I could revert until issues are fixed.
Also, as other have said, this does NOT deserve the rank of 2.0. This is a 1.8 beta.

@Ramhad3wrote:The problem is the last update destrys your connection between the watch and that app.
@Ramhad3, I am running the latest Android app, v2.67.2, and the OS2 update, and neither destroyed the connection between my phone and Ionic. In fact, it syncs much faster and more reliably now than it did with the previous version of the app. What version of the Fitbit app are you using?

Oh, also, I know this isn't exactly up there with other's issues, but the battery charge screen has US time format.
Also also, I hate to defend Fitbit here, but sync and notifications appear to be fine for me (Android S8+, Ionic), as well as wrist look.

I have tried the uninstall app on phone (Samsung Active 7 or 8 - I can't keep track), reset to factory settings and reinstall; let the app try to update...My husband saw it update but when I woke up app says it didn't update because of space on my phone.
Now today my watch is 2 hours behind on time and not giving me hourly reminders to get up and walk around. I've checked my setting online and everything is correct. I guess I'm just going to lose my competitions and steps while this thing figures out how to work with this new "update".

Having the same problems. Left it to update overnight 2x and still did not finish. I rebooted so that I can see the time and other data on watch, but now I can't use the exercise app. Any idea on when Fitbit will push a fix for this?

@hades99, if there is not enough room on your phone for the Fitbit app to run, it cannot sync with the tracker. And, if it cannot sync with the tracker, it cannot set the time on the tracker. Are there some apps on your phone that you can uninstall to free up space? After deleting the app, restart the phone and then re-install the Fitbit app. That should correct the problem with the app running.

I have updated to 2.0 (which was a nightmare to do. Restarts seem to be the key )
Before the update I loved to get a reminder to walk 10 mins before the hour. It made me get up and go. Since this motivator is now gone from my ionic I have lost interest in the watch. Really disappointed. Surely Fitbit should warn their customers when they are removing anything.
Is it possible to get this back. I REALLY hope so or I fear I will have to return the Ionic as it is now a Different watch and does not fit the purpose to which it was purchased 😡

Like a previous user i had to resort to a full reset
1 - Tell your Bluetooth to forget the fitbit device
2. in the fitbit app, forget the deivce.
3. from the fitibit, go to about and scroll to factory reset.
4 In the App, add the fitbit back
5 do the pairing and wifi setup again
6 During setup, it asks if you want to update, I said NO
7 After setup was done I did the update and it worked. took about 40 minutes.

This worked for me! Had no WiFi but it worked with Bluetooth. Took about an hour!

Yikes! Five seconds is too long 😞 It only takes 1/2 second to load on my. I haven't done any customization so I'm wondering if that's why it loads so quickly. I've warmed up to the new Today screen; not only because I don't have a choice but also because there are some benefits. Before, Today was just an icon a few swipes away. Now, it's the primary focus one swipe away. It's loaded with more details and a slightly better look. Still, I hope there are more improvements like load time and greater customization.

The long press on the upper right button to control music when exercise is being tracked was hijacked in the latest OS update to go to notifications, super crappy change. How do I control music now ?

I'm currently trying my luck at a factory reset and then updating. The only help I got from FitBit chat was the information found in the user manual (gee, thanks. hadn't thought to look there!). up to 80% complete right now via bluetooth. crossing my fingers.

In the main nice improvements.
Subtle things like heart rate zone shown as text on workouts along with the segment circle.
Why don't auto started exercises show on the new today when swipe up.
It auto recorded a walk, that didn't show on the new today, but when i manually started and stopped eliptical exercise that did show.(both shown i app)
Also the date format to the right of the battery is American and not in my local format.

I'm still having problems with syncing. The watch only syncs to the app when I open the app and push the sync button, despite having "all day sync" checked. I've tried resetting the watch, but it didn't help.
I also cannot get Strava to sync anymore. It became "unauthorized" during the update. After authorizing it again and making sure the accounts were connected using strava.fitbit.com, they still aren't syncing.

@Trickyazzowrote:I started to do with also but stopped when it asked for money how do you uninstall it?
@Trickyazzo, are you referring to Deezer? If so, you can use the Fitbit app->Account->Ionic->Apps->My Apps->Deezer->Uninstall
