Hi all!

I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)

We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. 

What’s New

Fitbit Today:

Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.

Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.

Music:

You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article. 

What’s Changed

Fitbit Watch Interface:

We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:

• To see your notifications, swipe down from the clock face or press and hold the top button.
• To see your stats and current battery level, swipe up from the clock face.
• To access music controls, payments, and the shortcuts screen, press and hold the back button.
• Access your music controls all on one screen.
• We’ve changed the order of some of the apps on your watch.

I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.

I do have a question, How do we now check to make sure that the options are ticket to look  "receive messages" and when the watch comes on auto when you move your wrist not when you push the button.  I can't find those features anymore. - Thanks

I just got my Fitbit Ionic about 3 weeks ago and have learned to like it, but when they had the last update on 3/19/18, I can no longer swipe to the left of the main screen to set up manual or auto face and turn off notifications like before.  My watch is in the "auto" mode and when I'm sleeping and turn my arm, my watch lights up, even on the "dim" setting and I don't like it.  How can I get this feature back or is that not possible.  I don't like being woke up all night because my watch keeps lighting up when I move.  It's terribly annoying, but during the day I like this feature.

Please help.  I also don't want the "Deezer" music app.  Like I need another app to pay for.  I already use Pandora and have uploaded songs from itunes to my watch, I don't need another app to take up space.  I've uninstalled it, but it still shows up on my watch.

So I just figured out part of it; my app says I have no wi-fi set up but when I try to set it up it won't find any wi-fi signals...in a neighborhood of about 30 signals!

Any suggestions - I've already removed the app from my phone, restarted & reinstalled app about 4 times (today alone).

Oh let's just go ahead and say this update Broke my **ahem** watch.  I tried once again to uninstall app, reset to factory settings (on the watch) and re-install; guess what now my watch won't go past the "Hi, please go to fitbit.com/setup" screen in 30 dang languages!

Just spent the last nine hours loading 2.0 - what a disappointment.  The reassignment of the buttons makes the device harder to use and takes away functionality.  How do I dump the update and get back to the original programming?

Is the ability to reply to Text messages (with predefined messages) going to be added at some point.?

I am with you, I also would love to get that option back just waiting for them to come back to me to let me know.  I deleted the Deezer app from my phone and it does not show up on my watch now.

maybe do a restart that might help.. Its so weird how everyone's watch do different thing when new update have been done..

Hi.

I've made a factory reset yesterday because my Ionic is rebooting each time I synchronize it. After the factory reset the Ionic has worked fine. On this morning, when I am waked up. I've tryed to synchronize my Ionic to have the sleep report and.... the Ionic has rebooted! Tryed 3 times, rebooted 3 times... wonderfull update!!! 😞

@avknaik- If it started over wifi, depends on wifi and the phase of the moon, anywhere between 15 and 30 minutes. If it failed to get wifi going, times up to 5 hours have been reported.

Also, follow-up on the reset - Watch has returned to previous consumption levels of ~12% per day if left alone.

I did this update and tracker keeps loading -deleted from phone and logged out - rebooted phone— nothing — it made things worse! Now I looked back in and tried to update my device/ the app found my device but tracker keeps loading- I can’t use my app at all!!  this is very frustrating- I’ve had my ionic since Christmas and no problems until this update

this inst a update its a change, the one think I liked better on this from my blaze was the battery information was clear & in an easy place to get to - WHERE HAS IT GONE?

also whats with deezer? cant we get Amazon or Spotify.

if you want to update it, allow me to pick what I want to see & not what you want to.

Actually, it was only a button press away before, no swiping involved, but now the buttons don't really have a function.

Yes, I forgot about that one.  Also, the displays don't turn green once the daily goal is reached.

It's not removed, still there and works fine for me after update to Fitbit OS2. It's not perfect though, sometimes alerts are missing

Yes, the reminders work for me as well but now thay I think about maybe I don't get any more messages if I hit the hourly targets (and if it's true I'm happy about its removal)
