UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
What’s New
Fitbit Today:
Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.
Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.
Music:
You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article.
What’s Changed
Fitbit Watch Interface:
We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:
To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.
Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Been living with OS2 for a few days now, and I have to say this is a big improvement from my experience. Took about 25 minutes to update on wifi. Syncing with my phone is now much more reliable and much, much faster.
The only question I have is whether or not this update did anything to address the GPS distance issue? Yeah, mine was only reporting ~1% low compared to my phone and my other GPS, but hey, 1% is 1%.

How do I change my screen wake up from manual to auto with the new update? I cannot find it on my phone or the fitbit. Thanks

A: read the patch notes, your question is answered there.
B: since you're incapable of A, long pressing the left button serves the same purpose that swiping left to right used to.

I'm getting used to the update but battery life seems to have shortened - anyone else noticed that?
One thing I had hoped would be fixed is the brightness issue - if I set my brightness to auto, then at nighttime the display is pretty much so dark it's unusable - I would have thought auto brightness should recognise that it's dark and show a bright display but obviously not - so have reset it to normal.

Did my update a few days ago ... no problems. However once I had Deezer setup it didn't appear in my Media settings allowing me to transfer my playlists. Got a few suggestions and tried those. Still no Deezer. So decided to reset Ionic. Went back into update ... wireless failed and it took all night to do the upgrade over BT. Still no Deezer. Left a message with support and decided to wait. Magically it appeared a few days later and is working fine.
Funny part is the day it started working I received an email back from support saying the problem seemed to be linked to non support of Windows 10.
Seems like patience is sometimes a solution 🙂

Trickyazzo and Girn2016, a long press of the left button gets you the "Screen Wake" and "Notifications" screen. Girn2016, I just Uninstalled Deezer in the Apps section of the Ionic settings. If it's still showing in your settings, try uninstalling again. If it's just still showing on your tracker, a sync should remove it.
Trickyazzo, when you post and are referring to an earlier post, please mention that specific post and poster in your answer. Thank you.

@MarkDee56, @trood1j The buttons correspond to the top left and bottom left apps on the first screen. You can tap-hold-drag any app in there, so each button does what you want. I have leaderboard and weather on mine.
@dbk2177I assume you tried the reset as I mentioned above? The display setting might have been nuked, many people have had issues migrating settings to the new OS. Swipe to settings, Brightness. Is it still Auto? Try cycling the settings. In fact, go through as many settings as you can after the upgrade, people have had all sorts of issues. Maybe yours is just set to DIM. Additionally, some watch faces are better than others, I have seen many that look fine in screenshots but IRL they are too thin and thus appear too dark on the watchface.
For me, in the dark, it's easily enough to see, in fact people have complained the Auto setting is keeping them up at night combined with auto-on for the screen.
You may have a hardware issue.

Thanks for that, I wasn't aware. However, for me, I would like to have had a button to toggle between Today and the clock face with all the Today items on one screen and configurable (as in the previous version).

Thanks, @Ndi
I have reset it before and just did it now as a test. I've changed the brightness from Normal back to Auto and so far it's fine, but the real test will be this evening in the hours of darkness, that's when the display seems to want to disappear along with the sunlight 🙂

Why wait! Turn off the lights in a room without windows 🙂 I have a walk-in pantry where I tested mine. It works and I hope yours does too!

Excellent idea! And .......... it failed the test 😞 .
Have had to reset it and put brightness back to Normal - my Auto definitely is not working as it should.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like OS 2.0 may not have updated successfully on all devices. I'm getting used to the new layout of Today but I think we also have to share feedback about the things we like and don't like to the developers (so we get what we want in 2.1) 😉 In the mean time, stay well and stay "fit" 🙂

Thank you for the update. It's a real shame that so many people are bashing it before taking the time to learn how to use it properly.
I have a couple of issues that I am sure have been already mentioned but here is my two penneth worth - -
Please can we have the green scores back after you reach you goal - I loved the comment "wow that's a lot of green!!"
The weather app has stopped updating - Please help!!
Other than that getting used to it and maybe I'll love it soon too!

Someone above posted to close the fitbit app on your phone, and reopen it for the weather app to resync. That worked for me.
However, the Jason Boggess Calendar App is no longer displaying correctly. I had to switch to the MicroByte calendar.
