UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
What’s New
Fitbit Today:
Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.
Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.
Music:
You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article.
What’s Changed
Fitbit Watch Interface:
We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:
To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.
Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Updated my Ionic. Now, swipe from left to right on clock screen gives nothing. What a waste. Tap forward button (top right) and get music app. OK. Tap back button (lower right) got Wallet. Not wanted. Uninstalled Wallet. Now got Timers on back button (lower right). I would like to have the back button (lower right) as it was before, one tap brings up the exercise app. How do I change this? Is it based upon the sequence of apps? If so, how do I change the sequence of apps so I can get the exercise app on the back button (lower right)?

jltermarsch, The upper right button opens the App located at the upper left of the first page of Apps. The lower right button opens the App located at the lower left of the first App page. You rearrange your app locations to suit you.

Update unsuccessful although tech support walked me through the procedures after close to two hours on the phone. I left tech support after the update started however, my Ionic didn't update although the application said update was successful. After two days of dealing with the update and four attempts with the same message, still no success. My Galaxy S8 is connected to Blue Tooth and my WIFI but the Fitbit application WIFI steps cannot find my Network. Using WIFI is not an option and attempting Bluetooth again. Last attempt took over 2 hours and still didn't complete. Fitbit needs to fix the application and there shouldn't be a problem setting up WIFI when your phone finds its and is already connected. I've also reinstall the programs, reset my Ionic several times and removed my device several times to start over. Done this using Android on my cell phone and Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 4 tablet, all attempts fail. Back to Bluetooth again on my cell phone, will see what happens again. If this fails, I will not update my Ionic until Fitbit fixes the problems

Bluetooth completion after 1 hour 17 minutes with application showing I'm up to date. I clicked "Done" but the same problems. The update did not complete and the Fitbit application still shows "Update Tracker Software. Every time I Sync my Ionic instead of showing sync a few moments ago, it shows my last sync every minute, last sync 5 minutes ago, sync again, then 6 minutes ago, sync again, 7 minutes ago. My Ionic shows the Fitbit Logo with a Blue Screen covering 3/4 of the screen. This is the same situation the last two days. Maybe a factory reset will fix this since this is the step I have not done.

@Ramhad3 Great to see that you were able to get updated. Thanks for working with our support team to get up and running.
@Ndi Thanks for the tip! If anyone is experiencing battery drain, I recommend checking out this post.
@Maaginen @_stayfrostee @Trickyazzo @Denean For those of you who may be experiencing syncing issues after updating. I recommend performing each of the troubleshooting steps detailed, here.
Generally, when syncing issues occur, it's due to the Bluetooth connection with your device. Often times 'forgetting' the Ionic in your devices Bluetooth settings and reestablishing the Bluetooth connection by opening the phone does the trick.
@GIRN2016 @KM326 You can toggle your screen wake by holding down on the left button to bring up the power tray. Once you are there you can swipe to the left and the toggle option is available there.
@hades99 @Pcolachic @SunsetRunner Sorry to see that your Ionic is having a hard time updating. I recommend forgetting your Ionic from within your phones Bluetooth settings and attempting to set up from scratch.
Additionally, if you are having a hard time getting connected to Wi-Fi I would advise attempting to update using an alternate network if you have one available.
@SunsetRunner I would recommend giving your Ionic a restart and attempting to sync again. Let me know if it continues to reboot when attempting to sync.
@Ian_williams I recommend checking out the new tips app which can be found on your Ionic. This will give you a tour of the new features but the battery percentage can be found by swiping up on the main clock face.
@EPRunner The quick reply feature will be rolled out to Android users soon!
@jltermarsch You can rearrange the order of your apps by pressing/holding down on the app you would like to move and drag it to the preferred order (all the way to the side of the screen if you want to change the page it is on).
@SunsetRunner Great call out. I would recommend using the 'Contact developer' function to let the 3rd party developer know that there is an issue with their app. This can be found in the app description in the gallery.
@SunsetRunner If the weather app has stopped updating, it is likely related to a syncing issue. I would perform the steps detailed here, and it should start updating again.
@Andy-fbit @SunsetRunner Thanks for the assistance!

@GIRN2016, if you browse some of the 200+ messages just above yours, you will find several posts mentioning that you press & hold the left button to bring up the Music & Screen Wake/Notifications screen - when you open that screen, scroll left or right to get to the Screen Wake setting.

The many responses I have gotten via email over the many days only solidified my choice to avoid this update! Period! Not doing it until something changes in thes replies as to easy update and better for tracking. This is ridiculous!!!

Sorry to hear that, @Hthopus32. I had no problems installing the update to OS 2, and I have really enjoyed the new design and features of the upgrade. The tracker is working much faster and smoother than it did before, and it hasn't crashed a single time while exercising using the various exercise mode options. So, I'm glad I did the update!

Factory reset of my Ionic with a complete setup start over fixed the problem.

@dbk2177Hmm. I don't work for Fitbit and I have never made a watch, but I do have a ton of experience with other devices. It seems very weird that a software will behave SO much differently on the same hardware. If auto light is broken it would be broken for a lot of people.
It is far more likely that you fall under 2 different scenarios:
a) Your watch backlight is dim. Maybe your LED is busted, maybe a few went out if it's a multi-LED setup, or maybe the circuit that controls the LEDs simply has failed to provide the power. For me, for example, low is the only one that is bearable in the dark. Normal is so light that I can see the screen turn dark gray (backlight bleeds though) and high is definitely meant to be for sunlight. Low is the same as Auto for me until light comes directly on the device. At reading light level, watch is auto-low and it just low enough that the dark stays dark (no bleed).
b) Your light sensor is busted. Since I assume it works just fine in the light (since you said you need to go in the dark to test) I assume that the light sensor does work, so this is unlikely.
Maybe it's time to contact tech Support. Have you thought about a brighter watch face? I use Moment from Fitbit and I have zero issues reading it easily at any light level. From 0-lux to sunlight, it's just there.
