UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
What’s New
Fitbit Today:
Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.
Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.
Music:
You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article.
What’s Changed
Fitbit Watch Interface:
We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:
To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.
Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Hi @Komsan,
I'm not sure what Fitbit should do, but their policy is 45-days for returns and 1 year for warranty.

@WavyDave
First, making sure your firmware update is working before launching to public
Second, fixing firmware update within 24 hours when notice to issues
Lastly, if you want to maintain knock out product performance level, please extend warranty for longer since we will experience the issue forever.

@Strapped4Cache You are right! You said all what I feel.
This is so ridiculous for a company which charge us for very steep price and cannot deliver anything....
It is my fault to trust you, Fitbit.....

@Komsan You haven’t actually said what your issues are but my Ionic updated perfectly well and is working fine thank you. If you’re having problems and came here seeking assistance, I’d suggest letting people know so that assistance can be offered.

@SunsetRunner Lucky for you! You should buy a lotto... I am serious
I would say you are lucky enough to survive from this firmware update.
Since you are high rank user in this community, I believe you must see a lot of complaints due to firmware update already. For the assistance, of course I already passed that stage. All representatives can offer you as below...
- Unpair
- Factory reset
- Update
There is nothing wrong except the actual firmware that Fitbit forced us to update.
My issue is Ionic now is expansive useless wearable. I am seeking "date" to be announced from Fitbit for next update. But till now I cannot wait anymore... it is ridiculous...
So I think it is fair to post here and tell everyone who confront the same issue should return Fitbit

@Komsan Yes I’ve seen some complaints but those people have generally had their issues resolved. I’ve also seen many successful updates. Generally if you have an Ionic you want it to work and will work through the issues to get them resolved. There’s not much point in having “an expensive useless wearable”, much less complaining about it 🙂

@SunsetRunner I am sorry for being upset.
I am not sure for successful ratio for resolving issue.
But I did walk through unpair - reset - update for several times.
When it is still failed, rep will tell me to go through again...what is the point?
And I am 100% sure this firmware has problem.
Instead asking me go through this nightmare loop, I expect Fitbit to announce when company will issue new update.
I am stating that "an expensive useless wearable" because I am really feeling that now.
The clock is still showing wrong date (March 27) .... come on, you are a watch~
Problems
1. cannot connect
2. update took forever
3. after update watch keeps rebooting
4. not sync
5. go to unpair - reset-update again & again
6. no official announcement when fixed version will be released
Hope I give you fair numbers of what issues I have confronted.

Nope, I've unpaired/paired...I've rebooted iphone 7 several times, I've deleted the device and RE-set up several times, I have Ionic plugged in to charger, I've reconnected to my WiFi, I've restarted Ionic several times...still sticks 2/3 into install of the newest update. I'm now on try #23, for 3 hours now... I have researched forums, tried every solution. Really frustrating. Glad something worked for you.

Working great for me as well, not a single issue. Ok, something missing to go from a good fitness watch to a great fitness watch but as today it's the best I owned so far and Fitbit OS 2 was a huge step ahead.

@edwinbongwrote:Also getting to the "Today" screen is a bit annoying as well. It adds a few extra steps, especially when the screen is not 100% responsive. Also the screen lag is extra annoying, when the screen doesn't respond the first few times! It was much easier/simple to just press the side button to get to the screen.
Absolutely!

@Giampi71 Lucky you. Majority of us still cannot even sync or update

Add me to the list too, mine is working perfectly since the update. You say the majority of users are having issues, I would say it's the opposite.
What mobile device/operating system are you trying to pair and sync your Ionic with? If you provide us with more details maybe someone can assist you.

I totally agree. My go to screen showing all stats on my Fitbit ? Now takes several swipes to see. Ugh. I am not impressed. Why fix something that isn’t broken?? Just made navigation more difficult?

I have been using the new Firmware, since it was released and have not had any issues. I received my Ionic Adidas Edition and it also upgraded to the new Firmware without any issues. So, I have a 2 out of 2 positive experience. I will point out, that I have also been using the Ionic since it was released in September 2017, and also had no issues with any of the other firmware releases.
Just my 2 cents. Keep on STEPPING!

Thank you for your reply.
Your experience is contradict of what I confronted.
Please review the posts I mentioned above.
You will know how many people is suffering of this poor firmware update.
I have nothing to say except
" who should return & stop using Fitbit Ionic"
Note: if you are lucky to survive from this update, you can keep it.
Until you face the same thing, you are welcome to agree with me
This is not a thing we can do... it is PROBLEM from OS itself.
