UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
What’s New
Fitbit Today:
Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.
Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.
Music:
You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article.
What’s Changed
Fitbit Watch Interface:
We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:
To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.
Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Ok, so my Ionic drained its battery in a day. I switched off Whole day sync and Live data.
Gonna switch it back on and see if it improves.

Think also, the Firmware Update ist nit tested. @MattFitbit, tell me why so many users have issues and FitBit did not fix it?
New issue at this morning. Stepp-Counter shows 5300 stepps, but i didn't use the fitbit on this day ....

I’ve just bought a brand new Ionic (post software update, I was unaware of the issues at the time of purchase). The watch isn’t even remotely calibrated. No heart monitor recorded, no GPS, and a couple of 10km walks have registered just a couple of hundred steps and 0.25km distance. No lights from the sensors on the rear either?
I’m not sure whether its just the software issue, a defective watch or both?
I wouldn’t have minded so much if the calibration had been somewhere in the ballpark of accurate, but it’s not even close. Nowhere near fit for purpose at the moment.

Ever since I did this update, I have to restart my Ionic 2 to 3 times to get it to sync. Bluetooth music streaming has also stopped working. Called support twice and have got no where. No at FitBit seems to even acknowledge that they have a serious problem. Have used FitBit products now for close to 5 years and this latest update is making me seriously consider a iWatch.

@Nicky89 I just wanted to clarify that the firmware version that you should have is 27.32.4.19. I noticed you mentioned that it wasn't clear as the numbers changed in every version, you can always double check it in the main article What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?. Your comments are appreciated.

Thanks Sylvia. But you are missing my point. The link you post is the CAUSE of the unclarity, not the answer... Fitbit communicates versions in a wrong way.
And no thanks, I will not update to the new firmware. The previous update caused many connectivity problems. Wifi, Bluetooth... And this new update doesn't solve them at all. On the contrary, reading this forum, it generates only more issues related with core-functionality.
I'm waiting for the new firmware update. And I hope it's going to be more fundamental than just some marginal navigation changes like this one.

Have tried all the steps FItBit has said and it still does not sync w/o restarting my Ionic 2-3 times. Everything was fine until I did the firmware update. Now its does not sync and the music bluetooth streaming does not work. When is FitBit going to release a new update to resolve?

@MattFitbit, we have new Infos:
With Windows 10 Devices and Bluetooth, we have the same issue. IONIC will "frozen" if Bluetooth syncing start. So how will FitBIT publish the next update, when IONIC frozen on Bluetooth connection?
With Android and Syncing issue, also notification, we have a solution for all customers:
Install the old App Version (2.67 - i make the download from APK-Mirror) and with this Version, syncing and notification works fine. If IONIC syncing, the "frozen time" are only short on the IONIC.

Hire better bluetooth engineers. Better than the Apple engineer genius that wrote code that he can only understand.
Write Tests. Not too many. Mostly integration. Including servers.

I purchased Ionic 03 days back. At the initial setup, it prepared the tracker for release update to 27.32.4.19. The release update was successful but tracker does not sync with mobile app anymore. Tried to work it through on 03 cell phones but unsuccessful. Also tried "Factory Reset" 04 times but still it ends up installing 27.32.4.19 release and syncing no longer works. Either release the new firmware with this bug fix or help us install the previous stable firmware so that I could start using my Ionic. I still wonder you guys even test the firmware before releasing it blindly for all new devices.

Never mind. I found that you can swipe left or right in Fitbit Today to see the other stats. Pretty neat. Upgrade completed perfectly. Looks good!

Why are their two way to check notifications, rather than letting the top right button or the pull down be a different application? What's the reason for this redundancy?
Where can I check how many steps I've taken this hour?? That's gone from this update.
Why is the music area hidden behind setting when you hold the left button?
Why doesn't swiping right do anything at all?
Who approved this new update? Was there a beta testing with real life users that don't work at fitbit or contracted by fitbit?
The new user interface is trash and is not initiative at all. A simple rule your team should follow is: "a gui is like a joke, if you have to explain it it's no good."
