UPDATE: Fitbit OS 2.0 has been released to 100% of users.
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.0! (Firmware Version: 27.32.4.19)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
What’s New
Fitbit Today:
Introducing Fitbit Today, an updated on-device dashboard that keeps you informed about all of your health and fitness data. Receive action-oriented and personalized content with daily and weekly health and fitness stats, historical activity, exercise summaries, and tips and tricks for using the Fitbit platform. Swipe up from the clock face to open the Fitbit Today dashboard.
Ionic users, your daily stats have moved from the Today app to Fitbit Today.
Music:
You can now add Deezer playlists to your Fitbit watch. For more information on setting up your Deezer playlists on Ionic, check out this article.
What’s Changed
Fitbit Watch Interface:
We made some updates to the way you interact with your Fitbit watch:
To learn more about these changes, open the Tips app on your watch and follow the tutorial.
Instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Nothing has helped. Also my fitbit on the left side of the watch just says loading and nothing else.
Thank you
Annie

I had the same problem and spent days trying to resolve it. Customer support finally had me factory reset my Ionic and delete and reinstall the Fitbit app on my phone. Then I set up the Ionic as if I had just taken it out of the box. It is a tremendous hassle and very frustrating, but it is the only way to fix the problem.

I was hoping that the update would fix the annoyance that my ionic doesn't auto recognize elliptical even though the settings are on after the shortest time of 10 minutes. I am typically on the elliptical for 60 minutes and using the handles that move. My Charge 2 did a much better job, everytime... the ionic, only 10% of the time does it recognize.
Also battery drains a lot quicker since the update.

I'm not an expert but this is what I did for the last 2 updates & it worked much better. Not sure if this helps you or not but if it does I'm glad to share.
I set up a hotspot on my cell phone & was able to get my Ionic to connect to it. Then I hit the update button on the Fitbit app & in about 30 minutes the update had downloaded and installed. It then synced & was working. I did that 2 days ago & so far so good.
I hope that helps you.I think I'm one of the lucky ones who think mine is working better now that I've updated it.

Same here. Noticeable drop in battery performance. Might have to try a factory reset.
Also noticed that today I'm getting a ton of hard locks (lockups). Have to hold the button to force it to power off. Happens randomly when the watch wakes (e.g. rotate to on).
Knew I shouldn't have accepted the update.

I cannot reply any text yet. Even with the new updated firmware and app.

I have an Android device (Moto Z) still there's no way to reply from the Ionic.

From what I have read so far, replying to texts directly from the Ionic has not been released yet. That feature was not part of the 2.0 update.

You can use your computer as a hotspot.
Then connect your cellphone to your computer hotspot wifi.
Set the ionic wifi to your comupter hotspot in your cellphone fibit app.
In this way, the ionic can connect the hot spot wifi of your computer.
Then do the update.
It seems that ionic is not compatible to some wifi network directly.
Otherwise, it is very difficult to update the firmware. It may take many tries.
On the other hand, use your computer as a wifi hotspot, it will succeed for just one time.

I had no issues before the 2.0 update. I have done a factory reset and reinstalled over 10 times the app and ionic show the install and update as successfull everything works great for a few hours. Then the ionic will reset its self every time it tries to sync. Fit bit logo comes up about 20 seconds ionic shuts down the Fitbit logo and back on. Failure to sync. Is anyone else having this problem after the update?

I've had "calibration" issues since the new update. I tried resetting, and hard resetting (Factory Reset) and my Ionic still won't re-calibrate. My friend who also purchased an ionic is having far worse issues since the "27.32.4.19" update. After resetting and factory resetting his ionic, he cant sync his ionic to his phone (Android) and the time on his ionic is off.

If this is the right place for it, i'd like to give some feedback on the new update and the removal of the today app as an app. Not everyone might agree, but even though the today app is now accessed by sliding up from the bottom, i often find that it takes me 2 or 3 tries especially when i'm in the middle of something and/or sweaty etc and i really miss being able to have it as the top left app on the app list and then just being able to push the top right button to get to it. Could this not still be an option? can it not be in both places? still listed as an app that you can set the shortcut button to?

Yes, that's the exact problem I was experiencing the other day (re: Frequent Device reboots).
I did a factory reset and so far it appears to be working again. However, the last time the issue only showed up after about 2 days of use on the new firmware. I did notice that it doesn't appear to be syncing very readily, despite setting it to auto sync (with the widget/notification options turned on for Android 8.0 persistence). I saw that one last sync was "13 hours ago."
Although I have noticed that my Auto Dimming backlight no longer functions correctly. It just stays on miminum.

Since the update, my watch will not manually sync and l have to delete and re-install app ea time. Also my app shows there's an update but when l open it there's no update. I hate my new ionic and sick of constantly googling to see why it's not working correctly.
What now?

Hi GlenSchoss
I also had no trouble with the update, but since then my active minutes go back to zero when I sync. And my sleep, heart rate and active hours are not working. Are you having these problems? Even better, did you have these problems, and have you found a way to solve them?
Appreciate any tips.
