Ionic Firmware update

I am not being able to update latest firmware through IOS. It gets stuck in middle and nothing and gad to reboot ionic. Tried using fit bit windows app to sync and update but getting following error.  

I will never buy another fitbit nor recommend to anybody. This is really insane

Try updating thru bluetooth.

If that doesn't work, unpair and pair again the Ionic to your phone.

I tried following:

  1. Unpaired Ionic with iPhone, Paired it again and tried to update- Did not work over the BT connection stuck on installation half way through. (Almost 10 Hours)
  2. Installed fit bit app on Windows laptop and tried to update by connection USB cable that came with the Ionic - Update got stuck (7 Hours)

Now i gave up on updating firmware. Very much disappointed
