I bought an Ionic when my Blaze crapped out, having gotten that when my previous Blaze crapped out. And so on. I guess I'll never learn.
I mainly got the Ionic for the GPS capability so that I could run and not have to use the app, which is buggy. (Attempts to let Fitbit know that the app had bugs was like talking to a wall, all I got were canned responses about how to use GPS, of which I'm well aware.)
Unfortunately, the Ionic can't seem to make it through the run. I step outside, swipe left to get to the Run workout, and wait until it says connected and I get the little jolt on my wrist. I hit start and all is well until I look down later in the run and see that it's not connected. To add insult to injury, it gives a message about starting the exercise app. Anyone else have this problem? Did I waste $250 on a piece of expensive junk that just tracks steps?
Also, now when I try to track my runs using the app, I can't because for some reason it never says there's a GPS signal that's strong enough. I can look at Google maps and it's fine, so now it's yet another problem with the app. Which I have no way of resolving because Fitbit doesn't listen.
Last Fitbit I'll ever buy. After this I'm going back to Garmin, which makes reliable devices.

Was just gona post the same issue.. In fairness ive had mine for ages now and love it. But over the last week. Gps seems to have broken.
A run i did on Tuesday didnt record at all and Thursdays run, it got a signal but just kept loosing it which resulted in inaccurate speed and distance recording.
Im doing a big event next week so really need it to be working by then.
