Ionic Gives Incorrect Lap Distances first two laps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello!

When I do lap runs (Manually doing the laps) on a 400m track, I get shorted the 400m by 20-60 meters.

After the first two laps, it seems to catch up, but i an terribly frustrated at this. I hit the lap button at approximatley the same spot everytime.  This issue has been on going for approximatley 7 months.

I would be happy to post pictures showing what I mean.

@Mikegillett I hope you're doing well! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you are currently experiencing with your Ionic tracking laps.

Please feel free to post any pictures needed in order to show what you are experiencing.

In the meantime, please perform a restart on your Ionic. That should certainly help you out with this.

Also, check if your stride length settings are correct. These should better distance tracking.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

@SantiR Sorry for the late response!  I could go back all the way to when I first bought the Ionic, in Oct 2017, but I figured a few examples would suffice.

I have restarted many times, plus any time there has been an update, I have ensured to download and install the update to my Ionic.  So I don't think the restart will help anything.

My stride length distance corrects itself with every GPS run, and as mentioned, these are all GPS runs.

Any how, if you need more of a history of the occurring, please let me know.
