Ugh
I just unboxed my Ionic because I lost my surge. I was trying to find out how to do basic functions with my Ionic and now I see I can't change this.
FITBIT - the option to turn off the heartreate is still not in my windows dashboard and i am using chrome. I have a plethora of worthless clock faces i don't care about though in the app. I can't change the heart rate there either.
I also can't change it on my watch.
This is stupid. And it is going to make me return this stupid Ionic and get an old surge. Which, as you know, you didn't design well because the bands suck to replace and they break.
I am really disappointed I can't turn off the LED light on the Ionic.
I was told this is for the VO2 max that is coming in an update. Is there an ETA on this update?
For those of you who are wondering why - how about I just want it off because it is my watch and I want to control functions I want.
The interface and functions on the Fitbit Ionic are not good. You guys need work on your interface and you need to decide if you want to be a fitness device or a smartwatch. As it is now you are trying to do both and not doing them both well. You get some things so right and others are now just bloatware.
Like the pay/wallet feature. Why would I want to add that to my fitbit watch? 99% percent of the people buying your product buy it for fitness. And if there are jerks who do not buy it for fitness then they are stupid people you shouldn't cater to. You're a fitness watch, then BE a fitness watch. That is what you do. You are like McDonald's when they offer healthy options. Yeah, it's cool McDonald's has that crap if I get stuck eating there, but I will never get stuck with a smartwatch like that.
I can change my watch face, but not move around options in my menu to the items I want to use.
I will go into settings way more than the weather. Oh I wonder what the weather is. Let me check my watch rather than my phone, computer, or looking out a window. smh
Seriously, I have had your products for years way back when they used to clip on and the clips would break and you would lose the Fitbit unit. Now, I have a watch I don't want and will be looking into other fitness watches because I spent all the money and am getting a lot of what I don't want and some of what I do.
Be a fitness watch.

They don't turn off. I did that.
I am angry because I am annoyed.

No, I want a fitness tracker. What I don't want is the LED on all the time when I am not using it. The heart rate sensor can be off, but the LED stays on. So, the LED is on but isn't doing anything. Kinda bugs me.
