Ionic - Lost charge and now will not pair or re-pair

Had my fitbit Ionic for a couple of weeks and really love it.. because I was working away it lost charge. When I charged it up, it came back with the welcome screen (as though not attached to my phone).

Have tried numerous times to re-pair to phone without any luck.

Tried connecting it to my Windows 10 laptop with the Fitbit app, and get the same.

 

Add the device, says it's found it. Then when it comes to the update (wifi or bluetooth) it simply times out. 

 

So frustrating as loads of people have the issue with it loosing devices after loosing charge.. fix it?

 

Anyway, my issue is deeper as I can't re-pair so my £200+ tracker is useless.

For anybody else with this issue the fix was a little extreme.

 

I had to clear away from _ANY_other bluetooth devices and pair the Ionic to my phone hotspot.

 

Literally went out on the street and did the pairing away from anything other than my phone. And it has worked.

 

Noticed it's the same with syncinc, will only sync when it's just my phone around.

 

Poor bluetooth connectivity, bad design or firmware as I should be able to function near other devices!
