Hello,

 

I want to buy a fitbit ionic.  I want other people to be able to see my location when I am wearing the device - wherever I am.  Is that possible?

 

On my phone my google maps shares my location with some trust people - would this also work on my google maps on the fitbit?

 

Important - I don't want to have my phone on me at the time.  I mean if I am somewhere without my phone, only with my fitbit, could someone easily see where I was via google maps or another find me type app (with my consent)?

In short, no. This is not updated in real time. The map does not show until you sync after your run/walk. 

 

Also, the Ionic is not directly connected to the internet so even if it did show in real time no one would see if you do not have your phone to sync with.
