I have been a Fitbit customer from they came out, I got my ionic in nov 2018 and everything worked fine until I updated to the new os on Christmas Day.. what I gift I received from Fitbit, my watch stared to behave weird.. First the heart monitoring stopped working, the screen started to flicker, and the buttons seem unresponsive at times.. I read the community blog and I saw where a Fitbit agent recommend doing and factory reset which I did and the watch hasn’t turn back on since.. I contacted they customer support and they are telling me my warranty is up so ntn can be done.. can you believe that? My watch stopped working due to no fault of mine but because I updated to the new firmware and now Fitbit is telling me ntn can be done.. Buyers beware.. I will never buy another Fitbit product again

The man’s device bricks while he’s trying to execute an update with countless known issues, which Fitbit refuses to warranty...and you categorize this experience as “not the best” while thanking him for posting? And then you suggest if he purchased somewhere other than Fitbit itself, he may be able to receive actual help?

That post is so disturbing on multiple levels...In the future, you may want to offer helpful advice when posting replies. If not, we’re all probably better off if you just remain silent.

@Livid.roan Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to post the experience you have had with Ionic and customer support. It's unfortunate to read that the experience was not the best. Thanks for trying those troubleshooting steps in order to sort this out.

By any chance, did you purchased your watch at the Fitbit Store? If you didn't you could still check your warranty options with the retailer in which you got the device. They may be able to offer a different option than Fitbit.

You might want to try to press all 3 buttons at the same for some many seconds (20-30) while keeping the Ionic under charging. You have nothing to lose I guess.

Not sure how the warranty can be expired after only 2 months however...
