I just went for my first bike ride since getting the Ionic and it was a flat out bad experience. I'm very disappointed in my purchase at this point and hope there's something that can be done to resolve it.
I attempted to start music and have the GPS connect while tracking my ride. The music played with no problem, but while attempting to start the GPS the watch restarted. It did this twice, delaying my start considerably as I'd hoped to track the entire ride. On the 3rd try it didn't reboot, but the GPS never connected either. I decided to go ahead and start the ride in hopes of the GPS connecting while I was underway, like the Blaze used to do. This never happened so there were no distance or MPH ride stats captured for the 20 minutes that I was on the bike (half of what I'd have done if not for messing withe the Ionic before hand).
One of the major selling points of the Ionic for me was the built-in GPS but that appears to be more of a detriment than a feature. I had miles that were not tracked when it restarted on me during a marathon and I have activities that are simply dropped when it has problems. Luckily I didn't get rid of my Blaze and it seems I'll be going back to that for activity tracking which is an absolute shame. For the amount of money we spend on this device, I expect better.

@hysonmb I hope you're doing well! Are you still experiencing this? An update for Ionic was released on 12/05/2017, did you updated?
Also, please check this helpful article regarding GPS functionality. You could also try to reset the GPS option of your Ionic on your dashboard.
