I set the running setting I want for my runs. Select the data fields, turn cues on etc. After each run, they reset to factory settings. Any way to save these settings?

Yep, mine too.
I want cues every mile, but it always resets to 1/2 mile. I’ve changed it on the Fitbit dashboard too, still does it.
Its annoying.

Yeah, I have the same issue.
Also, does anyone know exactly what the layout is for the lap alerts? I swear I keep seeing times that are faster than I'm running, but I don't want to stop long enough on a run to figure out exactly what the alert is showing/how it's laid out...

I'm confused by this too. Last night one of my 1 mile laps said "8:50". But once the run downloaded into the app, I didn't have any mile laps at 8:50.
I also noticed that if you just tap the gear icon before your run and then the back button, it applies the changes you made in the settings to the run. It's like the settings are not being applied when you just hit run without first selecting the settings.

Hello, I am having the same issue and I am pleased to see I haven’t been imagining it. I did a marathon yesterday and was really disappointed as the battery went flat at the half marathon mark. Partly I think because it had gone back to factory settings. The energy saving tip of the screen staying on had defdulted and I had the half mile alerts I didn’t need. I am interested to know the battery life with the GPS on. Hopefully FitBit can provide a fix to remembering the settings.

Oh my. I couldn’t imagine this watch lasting a full marathon. I’d be shocked if it lasted 10 miles!

Hello, thanks for the reply. I went into read on another post that the battery should last 10hrs with GPS on.
Yesterday I didn’t have the screen turned on all the time but I thought in the run settings it suggested you did, to save battery (not that i follow the logic). This had defaulted back to going on and off.

I don't understand this statement; consider the following:
In total I logged 32.1 miles which consumed 5:40:35 of GPS time over a single charge which lasted 67 hours. I'm thinking even a 6-hour marathon competitor will easily be able to use an Ionic for the full event.
Edit:
Here are the supporting screen shots:
Activity summary:
Here is my Wednesday heart rate track; notice the ~1.5 hour gap in the track between 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM from when I charged my Ionic:
Here are the heart rate tracks from Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; as you can see, the next ~1.5 hour gap caused by recharging was Saturday afternoon between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM:

I have the same problem (set autocue for every mile but when I run it tracks every half mike). Very frustrating. It also seems that no one has a solution and the folks at Fitbit don’t have a clue (or appear to care that their product isn’t working properly) given the jack of response.
