Does anyone know how to fix a fitbit ionic when the screen shows a magenta triangle with a magenta exclamation mark through it? There are no lights on the back, neither the two button nor the three button resets will fix the problem. It has been charged overnight that hasn't help?

You should be under warranty with Fitbit. But if it were me I would try to return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a product from a different company ie garmin. Eventually you will get screwed over by Fitbit customer service when it does it shortly after the warranty expires.
Thanks,

My ionic just didn’t the same thing. Tried all the suggestions from customer service but it didn’t work. So they offer me a 25% discount. What a joke. Why would you buy another after such a horrible experience. The problem occurred because I tried to update the software. I guess it’s my fault 🤦

I have the same issue with the symbol and none of the resets work for my Fitbit ionic. Can you please create a support ticket for me as well? I would like to look into replacement options.
Thanks,
Shaun

I’m having this same issue with my Ionic. After it stopped syncing, did a factory reset reloaded everything, and it kept flaking out till it started showing the red exclamation point. Frustrating.

I've been waiting for a solution since 2018. If it is out of warranty... it belongs to the drawer of random things... I'm sure you have one.... that one where you must have your rusty old can openers, matches, loose keys, and garbage ties.

I think my extended warranty is still valid but yeah next smartwatch is going to be whatever Google puts out as I want my next phone to be a Google phone as well--I'm done with Samsung so no Samsung fitness watch for me.
Heard lots of good stuff RE Garmin. Expensive as heck but really does last forever and very good customer service.
